her body is so weird.. her bottom half just doesnt match her top. not saying her top is skinny by any means, her bottom half just looks plus size model-ish while her top looks average. and her face looks reallyyyy bloated..
ugh, mischa mischa mischa  why why whyyyyyyy

Agreed. I was so in love with her when I was a teen and religiously watched
the OC! When I see her like this, my brain goes:

I'm so scared I might end up like her one day D:

looked for some pictures of her as marissa, and was suprised that even there she already yoyo-ed a bit.
i thought she was always tiny at this time, and her face looks good here, but her thighs...

Oh, Yes she did!

I have all O.C. episodes on DVD. And it is very noticeable she was bigger (close to normal!) in the first episodes...

Then she went thinner and I guess she ruined her metabolism or her 'natural thinness' by doing that for the series :(

But she looked sooo goood... especially in the middle of the series...but I guess it was also a matter of smart camera angles when it came to her face and expression ...also clothing was good.

You can also see she gained towards the end...

I actually think her face looks all right considering her weight :meh: I mean, her face still has a shape (although the sleek hair definitely helps). If I were that chunky, my face would be a moon bounce. She doesn't even have a true double chin (I think the camera angle exaggerates it a bit). In conclusion, eff my lack of facial structure.

I wonder if she was prescribed steroids for something? That sort of weight gain doesn't seem normal.

I think facially she looks a lot better here but that dress :run:

why do people lose all sense of style when they get fat? I mean, I know anything looks good on skinny, but that's not excuse to go out looking like Mischa does in every single picture.

:highfive:

I think that most clothing choices look better on thinner girls but I have to agree, when a lot of girls gain weight there seems to be a correlation with their sense of style decreasing. Sad yet I don't understand because when I put on weight, i tried to dress to accommodate it

I've just been thinking about the same thing and have a theory. When I'm skinny I'm usually in a good place mentally, I'm happy that I look good and spend more time trying to look perfect and choosing right clothes. But when I'm average, I usually have no energy, get depressed and don't care that much if I'm dressed well (granted, it never was bad enough for me to dress like she does :nopity:). Getting skinny takes enough effort to make me want to look good overall, so I imagine that if other people feel in a similar way, but weigh as much as Mischa, then maybe they don't see the point in dressing well.

This

People say they think I'm imagining thing when I say I've gained weight and usually I don't believe them, but when my own mother says it (and trust me, my mum never butters up her opinion when it comes to how I look) I realise how good I am at dressing thin.

If I were that chunky, my face would be a moon bounce.

a moon bounce = i love that term! :luv:

(mine would be too)

oops just googled moon bounce in case it is an actual thing. we call them bouncey castles ;) i was imagining something so fat, if the moon hit it, the moon would bounce off. (imagery might still be appropriate :wtf: )

i think a spacehopper would also be appropriate.

oh mischa...

besides the very very bad make up (tell me she did not pay for that sh*t!), she looks awful as hell, its sad

wow. That's really bad. I had to look up her DOB b/c she looks so old here....and not in the nicely aged fine wine "old".

The only positive I see is that her dress doesn't hug her behind & sweeps down to BELOW her knees so we don't see the extra knee chub as in the earlier black & white dress photos. Her legs are still stubby, but at least she almost dressed for her current shape for once....that of a frumpy old maid....who needs a better fitting bra to at least create the illusion of some proportion.....

I feel for her, she looks so uncomfortable. I don't think she enjoys being in the public eye but maybe she's afraid to be forgotten as a celebrity and therefore loose some chances to earn money in the future..
