Selena Gomez

I don't know why I keep posting photos of her. Maybe it's my ongoing fascination with her apparent predilection for high-necked ensembles, despite her short neck and plump face.

Do any of you read Tom and Lorenzo? Even though I almost always disagree with their thoughts on fashion I used to quite like their blog for the snarky one-liners, but it's been getting increasingly dull and repetitive over the last few years and they are astoundingly hypersensitive and venomous towards any dissent in the comments section (not that I have ever commented). Now I mostly just look at their pictures and don't read the commentary, but I made the mistake of reading their thoughts on this ensemble of Selena's:

"Not to sound like prudes or anything, but this would look pretty chic if that neckline was closed up just a skosh. We say this not for modesty reasons but for reasons of proportion. It looks too much like an undone garment at first glance. Which is the point, of course. We’re gay, but we’re not blind. Even so, it’s got a cute, sexy, holiday feel to it."

:wtf:
They're too nice with this one. The dress looks unfinished on the top part, it's quite boring and unimpressing. Something an older movie star would wear, not a 20 year old. She looks awful, she needs to fire her stylist, she looks puffier and wider than usual, also makes her face look like shit. If you are as sick as you claim then you wouldn't go to this type of events and you wouldn't dress like that.

What? That triangle of skin is the only attractive thing in that whole picture. The rest is dead-baby-knees, thunder thighs, awkward sleeves, that collar-thing that makes her fat neck look even fatter, too much blush, lipstick, undone hair, etc etc..

Wait I didn't know she was sick? I feel bad for having commented. It's understandable that her thinness (or lack thereof) would take a backseat to an autoimmune disease. Honestly I think this thread should be abandoned while she focuses on getting better.

It's because she's wearing coloured contacts. I absolutely hate it, always looks like reptilian fake plastic eyes, no matter how 'natural' one can try to go for.

YES. I see them all the time and I hate how they look. They are always so noticeable and I especially hate when they come off center so you can see a gap between the iris and the colored part. :superpuke: It looks so tacky and it always seems to be the chubby girls with caked on make up who wear them.

Selena, wearing blue contacts does not make you look like a model. You still remind me of a chipmunk.

It looks like they had to cut into Selena's dress to make it fit.

I like the dress as something for a 20-something year old. I think it is classy and that's kind of Selena's thing. She's not a trashy teen pop star, but seems grounded. And she probably is as sick as she claims, but you can't stop your life just because you had a diagnosis of lupus. Especially with chronic diseases like that, you learn to live with it. I may have epilepsy which fucking sucks, but that isn't going to stop me from going out with my friends. And Selena only reacted so harshy about her disease, which a lot of girls see as attention grabbing, but I see it as a way for her to bring awareness (seems like something she would too) and she had to defend herself from the papparrazzi who were calling her a drug addict. Like I'd be pissed too. I think we need to cut this girl some slack. She's on meds that give her a moon face and you don't as good of care of yourself when your sick. Like cut the girl some slack, she doesn't promote an anti-skinny agenda. She's a celebrity, just trying to live her life.
