It doesn't make a difference in hair growth, that's an old wives tale. (My friend has jet black hair and has to shave arms for swimming, and her hair grows normally)

I usually wax though just because it takes longer to grow back, but right now I'm on medication which makes your skin extremely sensitive and you're not supposed to wax (Unless you want your skin to peel off!!)
