Definitely agree - the guys are much better. I don't like the girl that they all think is super pretty - the one that's really tall that got married. She's annoying and she definitely isn't thin enough. Makeover week next week- my favorite episode.
kay i thought i was crazy.. i don't get why they were all raving about how gorgeous she was.
also i feel like all of the wedding shots were super boring. they were all just standing side by side making the same faces.
and i think the moving picture feature should be limited to one shoot. i think it's kind of weird to use it throughout the whole season..?
The GIF thing is so ridiculously stupid. It looks tacky and they need to stop it.

I love the early seasons, I just re-watched 3, 4 and 5.

I actually prefer the underbudget look of it, it was more, to use a word form the models vernacular, 'real'.
Plus its plain old nostalgic (even though its less than ten years old)

I agree!! I can't watch the current cycle at all! I used to like it for the thinspo and learning about some of the photographers and such but it turned into a Tyra train wreck. I realized the past few years I only watched to see how nutty she was and now it isn't even fun. She is weird and classless and now it's like the real world or something?? I want pretty, classy people not petty, scripted drama.
Since this is a lost cause, anyone have any other thinspo tv suggestions?
I quite like the second season of 'Make Me A Supermodel' (the American one). They come and measure the contestants with measuring tapes every few episodes, and the ones that have lost weight cheer, whilst the ones that get fatter cry (and then run on a treadmill). It's quite realistic in that the judges are 'no, you need to be thinner to model' as opposed to top model 'damn girl, you are fiercely real!' (what does that even mean lol) @Ginger

Thank god!! But I would be shocked if the American one ever decided to face reality and realize that fat girls will never ever be top models.

But they literally said: "A model has to fit the clothes. So make sure you fit the clothes."
A part of me wishes the show had a weight limit. Something along the line of , "We are only accepting applicants xx and below." I can't take a model with thunder thighs seriously.

Seriously, even if it isn't weight, there should be a limit, like making a chart based on bone structure and height and measurements. (Or just have them walk the runway and if the whole thing doesn't shake, let them on, haha)

True. I wonder if the girls auditioning are aware of the standards of the industry.
i like & dislike the new season of America's NTM. I love that there's men in the competition now! but the whole show seems very unprofessional..and i hate the whole "scoring" method. I miss when the judges deliberated and had arguments on who should stay and why :/ and where are all of the ACTUAL high-fashion personalities? Like actual fashion photographers, directors, and designers...i feel like I've only seen one or two the whole show..not even the JUDGES are noted fashion people
