I've bought two Bottega Veneta bags recently:
This blue one was purchased at a vintage bag shop and I managed to haggle the price down to around $230 USD. It had already been discounted a few times - I assume because of the bright colour. It's a bit scuffed here and there, but at $230, I can't complain. The leather feels divine, and super plush because it's already been broken in. The single braided strap is also quite comfortable to carry - thin straps bruise my shoulders sometimes because they're so boney, lmao.

This black one I bought off eBay from a reputable Japanese shop that sells secondhand designer bags for $366 USD. I justify this purchase by asserting that having one bright and one black bag will be great for matching with different outfits, and this black one is different enough to warrant the purchase because it has two straps instead of one 😂 I have also heard that BV is one of the only brands that's really worth buying because of their high quality leather and craftsmanship.
I've heard a lot about how brands like LV, Celine, Chanel, YSL etc are going down in quality despite going up in price. These BV bags are technically my first designer bag purchases, and I plan to exclusively buy secondhand or vintage going forward.
