There's a girl I'm friends with on FB who is always talking about a new and healthy lifestyle change or asking for advice on this diet or that one. Today she posted about her new "healthy" vegetarian diet. Lunch consisted of: pico de gallo with tortilla crisps, a loaded veggie burrito, and guacamole smothered on top...
I was like...oh honey you're doing it wrong.

I think this proves the quote 'what you eat in private, you wear in public'. People on secret eaters seem to think if no one sees it then it doesn't count (I am basing this on their 'food diaries' that never include their extra snacks). However in this case they are eating sooo in private, even they don't know about it!

UGH no! Now I've found my new guilty pleasure. It's so damn addictive and I really need to be working on my french instead of this. Any frenchies know of any diet or weightloss shows in french at all? Then I could at least be productive while mindlessly watching fatties munch.

Do French fatties exist? I feel like mindless eating is un-French by nature..

I know right. I live in Belgium and go to Paris often and most are quite slim/skinny.
Really I was just clutching at straws that maybe there was something health or diet related.

Fun fact: I don't think we have any weight loss show  nevertheless, there are plenty of cooking shows (le Meilleur Pâtissier is currently my guilty pleasure - actually, all of them are because I love food porn). I disgress...

However, there are some episodes I could send you.
- One obese girl challenges two chefs to cook light versions of junk foods for her also-fat friends without them knowing they're eating *gloups* healthy.
- One (slim) model challenges the same two chefs to make gastonomic dishes out of raw veggies.

In others episodes, they make gastonomic and light versions of classic Alpine dishes, have to make children eat and love vegetables, etc. The list goes on and I haven't finished to download them all yet. So feel free to PM me if you're interested :) Not really weight-loss related, but some cool tips are shared

Ι really DO think that some of the people going on that show don't know where they're going wrong... That's what's even sadder.

I remember one woman said she didn't eat enough and was so healthy. Then curtains unveil : EIGHT PACKETS OF CRISPS and FOUR BAGS OF CHOCOLATE.She consumed daily 3000 calories instead of the 1300 she thought she ate. It's just unbelievable how unaware people can be

This show is one of my many gulty pleasures

I love watching Secret Eaters. Supersize vs. Superskinny too! :D BBC is my jam.
I think it's so interesting to see how many calories people can shovel in without even realizing it!
makes me super aware of everything that goes in my mouth, that's for sure.

I have a fat frenemy who is just like this!!
NEVER eats anything on weekdays during the day. She says she's on the warrior diet, one meal a day, and nothing else.... Except for like six "meal replacement diet bars" worth 300-500 cal each!! Ugh!!!! Serious?? JUST LOOK AT THE NUTRITION PANEL GIRL!!!!

Secret Eaters is a guilty pleasure of mine...and as shocked as the fatties always seem to be that omg! I eat all this garbage and it adds up to twice as many calories as I guessed? The fact that it's not comforting to them is mind blowing. Think of it this way: if you REALLY had a slow metabolism, or hypothyroidism, you would have a host of non - weight related problems. I knew a girl with hypothyroidism (who was thin) who had difficulty conceiving, much less bringing a child to term. So really, whenever fat people say "Oh, I have a slow metabolism" it infuriates me. A slow metabolism isn't something to be wished on anyone.

My favorite is when they take apart their meals and call them out on it. And as was said before me, what you eat in private, you wear in public. :)

I binged-watched this show a while back. Love it! It really should be mandatory for anyone obese who claim to be unable to loose weight, but somehow haven't actually got a diagnosis of any kind to back up their claim.
