Clothing as thinspiration

  1. I don't know about you, but I base a lot of my weight loss inspiration on clothes! Some of my biggest motivations for losing weight are looking hot in body-con clothes like dresses, yoga pants, and skintight tank tops. I look online at clothing I know I'd have to lose to look good in. I also keep around clothes from when I was smaller to see if I can fit into them! Anyone else do something like this?

I am the same way. Yoga pants, skinny jeans, boots and tank tops are huge inspirations for me because I have to look good and earn the right to wear them.

Bodycon clothes are what I aspire to be able to wear, they are unforgiving on wobbly bits so are very motivating.

    Clothes are a great motivation!

I used to buy clothes one or two sizes too small, and had them on a clothhanger outside my closet so I always had to look at it. I just grew (or "shrinked") into a pair of jeans I bought two years ago. They were a little dusty from hanging there ;)

Also, when I buy clothes a size that sounds good to me (size zero, double zero, 34, 32 or childrenĀ“s sizes) I keep the tag and post it on my bathroom mirror or fridge door.

Clothes, clothes, clothes are the ONLY fundamental reason why I want to be skinny.

It can be tricky. I want to look thin, but not too thin so that people comment that I am (too thin). I like the athletic look and most people accept the thinness associated with working out, but not so much the food restriction--I do both, but most people don't get the food restriction part (and I don't tell them).

Looking forward to some XS cheer skorts I ordered yesterday, which should show off my legs nicely!

I've recently discovered this using fashion tolose weight really works for me, i was becoming desperate to lose weight, so i recently bought a tiny pair skinny jeans and i keep them laid out on my bed... so far it has kept me from eatingload of nad food.

I'm totally same...looooove clothes and fashion and rejoice in the liberating feeling of wearing (almost) anything and looking good...not to mention that sweet, sweet feeling of being able to fit again in those skinny pants I bought when I was seventeen :luv:

For me, shorts. I feel like with jeans everything's less exposed and with skirts/dresses you can go for a flattering cut but shorts, while being really comfortable, require slimmer legs than mine.

I also hate having to take into account whether something will make me look chunkier. I would have way more outfit combinations if I didn't!

Yes, yes, yes, you get me! I'm a Pinterest addict and my style board is by far the biggest one. Every time I pin a new picture of gorgeous women wearing floaty dresses (the kind that make you look pregnant if you're not skinny), summery short-shorts, and backless tops showcasing beautiful bones, I get so much more motivated. I know I'll never be a model because of my height but I can certainly feel like one once I become skinny enough to pull off everything on my board!

My "Style" board on Pinterest keeps me MUCHO motivated, as well as thinking about buying those size 2 or 0 jeans one day :)
