Selena Gomez

Her face has got to the point of looking swollen rather than chubby. It makes women look childlike yet nauseating. She's taken a trip to averageville - I hope it's not a one-way ticket.

Bloat. Pure blubber bloat. Like she's been scoffing every junky food item she could get her hands to, and washing it down with great quantities of beer. It has that tight, sudden gain look to it, and I agree that sights like this are more terrifying then the 400-pounder as they are firstly closer to home, being closer in weight, but secondly, just look so fucking off...

Speaking as someone who has the same type of perpetual baby face, yeah her cheeks will be chubby no matter what, but definitely not to this extent. I wouldn't even say this is from weight gain alone. It's from the speed of weight gain and what/how much she's eating. I honestly think she's binging. Nothing has made my cheeks swollen more than weeks on end of binging. Would also explain the weight gain (obviously).

Didn't she used to struggle with bulimia, if I remember correctly? That could make her cheeks swell up....I hope I'm wrong and that she's ok. :(

I did a bit of research and you those in the medical field can correct me, but the common medication for lupus is Prednisone (steroids), which is known for causing a moon face (chipmunk, swollen cheeks).

I could be wrong but I've never seen a patient gain THAT much weight though. There's no way it's just the meds alone at this point,

I remember a couple of years reading an interview where she said she loves and only eats processed food, and even once she was hospitalized for her bad diet choices (correct me if im wrong on the last one) but after years of bad diet, slower metabolism and meds it show how it all went downhill for her

...that looks different. swollen glands from bulimia don't give you the "normal" bloated, fat look but instead a weird round swelling on both sides of the rear part of the lower jaw. if you see it you know it.
off topic, but my friend, who is a ENT doc had a patient in hospital who's glands were as big as tennis balls with no chance of shrinking again on their own. ): very very bad.

btw, i don't think it's meds, if she suffers from any illness at all. sorry, but due to my own experience with celebs, i tend to doubt anything publicist tell...

Yeah her diet isn't great: “I eat junk, I’m from the South, so I love Mexican food, greasy pasta, and fried things. I do try, every now and then, to put something in my body that will be good, but, honestly, I’ve never liked working out" ((HollywoodLife) and she's talked about how she "lives off" candy bars so I don't think its just the illness

And she mentioned she has a mini fridge in her room for kit kat. Now why would a person that has their own house/lives on her own need to have a fridge in their own room too? She can't be that lazy to go downstairs/down the hall and walk to the kitchen??

If she has lupus, she may feel too sick to walk to the kitchen.

I didn't know she has that illness. That definitely could explain the weight gain and moon face. Prednisone can cause a LOT of weight gain. I have to take it for asthma whenever I get bronchitis and I'm just on it for ONE WEEK yet I always gain 5 lbs just in my stomach despite barely eating due to being ill. It also makes people very, very hungry. Imagine feeling like you ate only 200 calories despite eating 2000+. That's how hungry it makes you. You can't think of anything but wanting to eat. It's a horrible medicine in terms of side effects, although it is a life saver for many.

I feel bad for her, we all have\had a moment in our life where we let ourselves go or gain weight due to a health condition or an antidepressant, and I felt ashamed to go to school when I gained so I can only imagine what is it like to have pics in a bikini where your body looks like that on the daily mail...I would be devastated.
