She’s one of my favourite models at the moment, but I still find astonishing that with all her hard works/fainting/starvation, her legs when compared to Mica’s (on the right) still look like this:

Of course she’s not “fat” or average by any mean, but if I was allegedly starving for a month and fainting, I’d like my effort to be in some way better compensated :hahano:

I've thought this for a looong time. Either her metabolism has slowed to a point of 'you will blow up from even smelling that croissant' or she's lying about the whole four week-long water fast with the occasional half banana. General consensus is that anyone who forgoes 200 calories total over a monthly period will probably not have calves like that. Unless she's bottom heavy and her top half is actually skeletal or something, I expect she's ditched the practically impossible nature of her aforementioned 'diet'. Fair enough, eating only half bananas and (if I remember correctly she also bragged about) cherry tomatoes and berries would make me totally neurotic.

I very much don't think she's lying about her sometimes extreme diet (although it's not necessarily always the banana thing, I know she does a lot of liquid fasts... mostly glorified sugar water supplemented by multivitamins though). It seems more due to the fact that she does eat more unhealthily and especially calorific things when she's not in 'diet' mode--larger extremes on both sides combined with the fact that she is a lot more bottom heavy. It doesn't seem the most healthy but also seems less motivated by ED mindset than by lack of rigorous research into How to Best Nutrition™

Sorry to derail, but is there any good evidence that not eating nutritious foods affects the way your body stores fat? I've always just subscribed to the idea that a calorie is a calorie because that's what's often simplest for me to follow and there have been many periods in my life where I didn't particularly care about my health so much as I cared about just dropping lbs or not gaining weight. I know eating more protein helps preserve muscle and I know eating mostly carbs and foods that are high in sodium causes water retention and that probably means you're going to look a bit softer than you might otherwise, but aside from those two rules/ideas, is there anything to suggest that eating "unhealthy" food (by that I guess I mean overly processed or not micronutrient dense) will affect your body shape or fat distribution? I suppose I'll look into it more since I've always wondered about this, but wondering if you know

Part of the reason why her calves do not look so skinny sometimes (especially in comparison to her upper body) is because she has low calf insertions. It is visible even at her lower weights. I think many Asian people tend to have lower calf insertions than people of other ethnicities. Calves tend to hold very little fat, especially for people with BMI <18, so most mass in her calves is muscle. Getting rid of calf muscle can be difficult, and wearing heels can maintain existing calf muscle. Having low calf insertions exacerbates this effect because then the calves are more prone to stimulation and growth.

She probably has my favorite style out of every other popular model right now. Especially with the was she can go for a casual look or a more dressed up look and still make both look like perfection.

I love her but this is probably the worst I’ve seen her legs look. Flat shoes don’t do her any favors. Her face also looks puffy (?). I hope she’s doing alright :confused:

She just got married and vacationed in Bali, she usually gets back into shape in Milan.
She looked perfectly thin in Bali :cautious: I’m mostly focused on her face though since it doesn’t look as puffy in other recent photos
