Skinny Gurl's Guide to Thanksgiving

 x10000

I have always NEEDED a guide like this for Thanksgiving. I have googled for hours.

This is PERFECT. Thank you

Lovely article, as always! :) Very motivating.

My #1 tip would be to have mint gum and water at all times. The mint gum will prevent you from taking bites 'here and there,' and the water will fill you up. Go for the lean proteins and vegetables first, and just stop eating when you're full! Also, no gravy! And don't forget to enjoy the company of friends and family as well, rather than focusing on food the whole night. ;)

A true skinny who's setting us with quality standards. :luv:

With your current measurements, your tips and suggestions are goldmine! Thanks for the perfect reminder, Skinny Gurl

I most definitely needed these! Thank you so much!

When I clicked on the link that said what you do not want to end up as, I was most definitely not expecting that photo of Kate Upton, It scared me so bad!

I'm going to try all these out tomorrow! It'll be even easier since our family is hosting :luv: Thanks so much SG!!

@skinnygurl, I love this article so much. This will not only help for Thanksgiving but also Christmas dinner as well, or any other big family meals. Keep up the amazing work :luv:

Well, we don't have thanksgiving in germany but I was so happy to read a new article. Yay! :)

These tips are so good for any familiy dinner time, especially when it come to christmas.

This is so perfect! Thanks Skinny Gurl! I was a bit nervous for tomorrow but now I feel much more prepared. Luckily I have recently become vegetarian, so I can skip out on the calories from the stuffing and turkey :) Oh and I hate mashed potatoes, and my whole family has known that all my life, so I don't have to worry about those! It's the bread/rolls/croissants that will be hardest for me to avoid, but I have faith! I'm actually kind of excited now that I think about it. It's a learning experience!

Great article! We do not celebrate thanksgiving in Denmark, but I'll use this guide for christmas! :-*

Good luck to all the skinny American gurls!

Great tips :).

OMG 4500 calories in one meal? :wtf: that's so gross. I can't even... :superpuke:

I needed this today! Thanks SG! I spent yesterday fasting in prep for today, and hopefully I can just stick to super small, healthy portions

THANK YOU. Like @Apple I spent most of yesterday searching for a guide but with entirely unsatisfactory results. This is just what I needed.

U took the words out of my mouth! x

4 500 calories IN ONE MEAL????? :wtf:

Now I am even more thankful that we don´t celebrate thanksgiving (thankful for no thanksgiving... interesting...) neither here or in Germany.

But those tips are also great fr Christmas, and especially this drink-a-lot-of-water-thing is what I always do. Not only before the meal, I basically take a sip of water after every bite. Plus I ALWAYS go on a pre-christmas diet at the end of november (so - now) to lose a bit, so the damage won´t be too big.
And thank God my family finally accepted that I eat only veggies without butter and all (or they simply gave up xD), so I don´t have to feel awkward when I am eating with them :)

Oh, and - I LOVE the Kate Upton pic... a little treat for the haters, huh? :sneaky:

Amazing article!
Luckily, I'm in the part of the world without Thanksgiving.
But I will definitely be reading over this article on Christmas Day!
To all those who do celebrate it, stay strong, don't feel too bad over one day, and happy thanksgiving! <3

I can use this for Christmas:D yeeey:)
But, really, you CAN'T eat 4500 calories a day:( Come on.... you can't....

Hope everyone is a good girl during your family dinners :)
Just keep repeating in your head "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" over and over again before you put food into your mouth.
