Skinny Gurl's [belated] Favorite Model Looks at the Met Ball

I love this article! Anja and Constance looked so beautiful. I liked Miranda's outfit as well, but she wasn't my number one choice. Doutzen was just... Doutzen. The outfit worked, but I love how she is into her thirties and is still working on facial expressions.. 
Yay! I'm glad you did an article on the Met Ball Skinny Gurl! I've actually not paid any attention to it at all this year, since I've been really busy lately, but only seen the laughably terrible looks my friends were cringing at. 
Kristen Stewart, Madonna, Kim K.
Most celebrities either had questionable dress choices, would have looked good if they were thinner* or looked fine but completely disregarded the punk theme (Kate Bosworth).
As for the looks I liked: Liu Wen looked awesome! More "out there" than her dress last year, so good on her. On the other side of the fashion risks spectrum, I thought Jourdan looked great (perks of not taking fashion risks?) but I'm biased because... collarbones. I also liked Rooney Mara's dress.
*I've come to the realization that I say the "would've worked better if [insert name] had been thinner..." a lot, but I feel like you girls are the ones who know what I mean more than anyone (and would admit to it).
Kristen Stewart, Madonna, Kim K.- I liked how Anja went for a short dress. At first glance, that was all I liked - how she looked waist down only. But after seeing more photos of her and of other attendees, her looks have become one of my favorites of the night. Stood out from the crowd of long black panel dresses, stayed true to the theme and showed of her skinniness!
- Miranda was nothing special. A long black dress with a cutout... (Emma Watson and even Jessica Hart wore similar dresses) ... her hair... ... her face and makeup...
- I think Chanel could have pulled off her dress nicely if it weren't for her hair. I really wish she didn't have pink in her hair, despite being punk and all.
- Doutzen and Karolina looked nice, especially Doutzen's dress. I definitely agree with Skinny Gurl that Doutzen should work on her facial expression, and I think overall had they both been in super skinny territory they could have looked amazing*.
- As for Constance! :hmm: I just can't decide whether she looks good or her dress is tacky.

I think that a lot myself Great article, Miranda's body looked good but she did pay it quite safe. Anja was the stand out model for me
I loved Anja's and Miranda's looks! They both looked thinspirational and so gorgeous! But I am more curious what would @Skinny_Gurl say about Kim K

I remember last year's Met Ball photos (crap, time is flying!) & is it just me or everyone looks so much better THIS year! Those who took a risk actually pulled it off without looking trashy! I enjoyed the article & photos, and, props were definitely given to those who deserved it even though some are not the skinniest girls (but seem to have been on reasonably good behavior). It was a really 'kind' article overall--- Absolutely nothing wrong with focusing on the Favorite Model Looks! Now, however, where are the people that crashed & burned fashion-wise & need a 2 week fast ASAP? I guess I need to find those photos now wahahaha
Well Chanel isn't anywhere as skinny as she used to be and I was disappointed to see that she hasn't returned to her former super skinny self. I thought her arms looked kinda flabby/chunky. Normally not a huge Anja fan but she killed it. Her legs look so amazingly skinny and long! Not a huge fan of Giselle Bundchen either but she looked awesome too and wore a similar style dress as Anja by the same designer:

Anja killed it imo--perfect mix of fashion and punk. And I know, I harp on her a LOT, but I will admit I liked Cara D.'s look as well--but I'm going to say that's thanks to the gorgeous Burberry gown...not her. Miranda looked better than I've seen her in a very long time, body wise, but like some of you said...dress was too safe.
On the whole though I was underwhelmed by the red carpet this year, especially with the models. I thought that because they are representative of the fashion world, they would have had license to take bigger risks with their styling choices.

But let's not forget to mention Gisele in Anthony V! I can't even believe she just gave birth to her 2nd baby some months ago and looks like this.

Other comments - the good:
Love Kate Bosworth's body here and love the Balmain (although I haven't met a Balmain I haven't loved).
Lily Collins is super pretty, as always, and I actually like her outfit. It's cute and age appropriate. And her eye make up looks spacey, in a good way.
Cara actually cleans up nicely. Love the smoky eye.
Carine Roitfeld looks like she's a drug addict here which I assume is sort of the point, considering the theme? Also, I lovelovelove the Tisci for Givenchy Bambi dress. Do want.
I can't believe I actually like this look but Linda E. looks like a Bodicelli/Medieval lady here and I want to hate it but I actually like it.
The bad:
How far the mighty have fallen. Also you have to actively TRY to make your hair look that bad and stringy.
Kristen making herself look fat. Very, very few people can pull that shit off. She is most certainly not one of them. Also, this is like the one theme that is actually right up her alley, and she chooses to blatantly ignore it?
Madonna epitomizes why I hate her. She just looks like a mess, and alas, not a hot one (unless you count hot flashes):
Katy Perry is so out of theme it angers me. Also her chubby thighs and cankles are single-handedly slaughtering an example of one of my favourite Dolce and Gabbana collections.
Sorry @Babydoll, I have to disagree. Giselle and her self-righteousness never fail to incite my annoyance. The sheer superfluousness of her expression in this picture only serves to enhance the horseyness of her horseface.

While there were a few outfits/dresses I liked, most of these people need to fire thier stylists. Designers have been soooo disappointing the last few years.
