They are not preoccupied with vain things. They are not taken in by such false jewels as friendships with celebrities, handshakes with drunken Plevako, ecstasy over the first person they happen to meet at the Salon de Varietes, popularity among the tavern crowd. They laugh when they hear, “I represent the press,” a phrase befitting only Rodzeviches and Levenbergs. When they have done a penny’s worth of work, they don’t try to make a hundred rubles out of it, and they don’t boast over being admitted to places closed to others. True talents always seek obscurity. They try to merge with the crowd and shun all ostentation. Krylov himself said that an empty barrel has more chance of being heard than a full one. #thingscivilizedpeopledo#byantonchekhov#butletmetellyouaboutmybeautyroutinetho

Pure boredom inspired. P.S @ lyza_o made me watch the entire Twilight saga yesterday, so my brain is literally melting right now. #teamjacob#teamedward #totaleclipse

I am a student at the University of Cambridge in the History of Literature department. And it is incredibly difficult. I don't even have time to sleep, and I know that some day I will have to choose [between academics and modeling]. After all, a good result is only possible when we give something one hundred percent. And I don't think I will choose a career in modeling. I have waited for the other one for too long.

Was looking through Sasha's thread because she is ultimate thinspo and this stood out to me. Primarily because, I remember reading something similar in Elle etc, but also because there is no such degree at Cambridge. You can either do English or History at undergrad level but there is no specific History of Literature as far as I know. This seems like a rather odd thing to lie about though? Of course the whole uni thing could just be fake news.

Or maybe a mistranslation?

Some nice gifs from “Anna” movie directed by Luc Besson. Honestly, I find it so boring, even a brilliant cast didn’t save it. My high hopes turned into a mediocre film with shallow characters.

Anyway, Sasha represents the true beauty of a woman with a capital W:luvluv:

I don’t think she’ll ever not leave me in awe of how beautiful she is. :luv: Plus, love the caption she chose to pair with it:

Raphael's great superiority is due to the instinctive sense which, in him, seems to desire to shatter form. Form is, in his figures, what it is in ourselves, an interpreter for the communication of ideas and sensations, an exhaustless source of poetic inspiration. Every figure is a world in itself, a portrait of which the original appeared in a sublime vision, in a flood of light, pointed to by an inward voice, laid bare by a divine finger which showed what the sources of expression had been in the whole past life of the subject... and let me rephrase Jane Birkin: when you are stuck in quarantine and you have nothing left to do, all you can do is get into your silk underwear and start reading Balzac. Oh, and to post old photos of you looking glamorous, of course.’
