So I as I was doing my usual, post-lunch procrastination (bc really...spread sheets can afford to chill out for a few min, right?) I came across this fantastic fashion blog called "Part Nouveau". Run by Lilah Ramzi, a former fashion history student, this blog is all about how some of what we think are the best fashion moments have actually either happened before, or take their inspiration from a source far further back than we would have expected.

Of course I had to share this with my fellow fashionistas here on SGF!

Here is the link: http://partnouveau.com

And here are a couple examples:

Salvador Dali's costumes for ballerinas as the point of inspiration for Vogue Italia in Jan 2008

Veruschka looking all kinds of 60s glam in a YSL safari jacket and Giselle with Harper's Bazaar's modern reinterpretation --total side note but Veruschka here is just

The whole blog is rather addictive--let me know what you gurls think!

What a gorgeous blog! I'm an absolute dunce when it comes to the fashion world, so it's very interesting to me to see the references that designers and photographers are giving to history.
