SOMEHOW it looks tacky but there's something that makes me love this dress

the venue and soundtrack were flawless. I must admit the handwork that went into those garments was immaculate and this is haute couture, I am just tired of seeing the same siluettes tbh but aesthetically, it was beautiful.

Agreed. I think I'm in the minority here but there were definitely moments of the Dior show that I loved.

Also embarassed to admit that I adored the Chanel show, it was like a fairytale.

Did anybody else see Armani Privé yet? I was not big on it at all, I found it a little boring to be honest. I think Gaultier had some really interesting stuff, but the rest of it was kind of fug too :meh:

It was literally renditions of this for the 99% of the show:

Pirates.

And I usually find Valentino bland and I liked this season a lot :luv:

And now for the one I was expecting the most, my favorite designer: the repetitive and predictable yet always lavish and elegant Elie Saab.

I loved the blue dresses. Reminded me of Grace Kelly, don't know why. They just have this regal, Ice Queen charm I loved.

The beads and details, my gosh. This is why I love Saab so much. However bland and simple the shapes may be, the beadwork never fails to take my breath away. *dies*

The lavender colored gowns were gorgeous. The models looked like the lavender flowers themselves. Such a beautiful color...

And I'm so happy Sigrid Agren opened (the hands...)! I love her so much! I didn't like the cast much (it wasn't as epic as spring couture 2012), but Sigrid and Jac made me forget that boring plain janes like Julia Nobis were there. They both wore amazing gowns too (Jac looks like a Greek goddess in that white dress and cape).

I did not like these looks though. The fabric is more fitting for expensive curtains rather than couture dresses...

I'm not fond of the bride gown either. The shape is very... Puffy. But as someone mentioned before, the detailing is astonishing.

Conclusion:
lavish, ethereal, elegant, lovely details, fit for a Disney princess or a Grecian goddess. Like always. The cast was underwhelming though, especially considering I love Saab's casts.

And because the celebrities always go for boring Elie Saab gowns for the red carpet, I can't wait to see them wear it (and make fun of them because they'll never pull it off as well as the models)!

Absolutely hated Dior HC, but I liked the atmosphere. The setting and music were spot on. It's a shame the clothes and the models couldn't measure up. Raf seems to like bland and boring  Which sucks because Galliano's shows always had amazing, diverse casts.

My thoughts exactly I only liked the gloves
