Before was me during my days of 'trying' to be healthy, hence the 'trying' part! I was told to eat 3-5 portions of meat daily, with lots of nuts and whey protein shakes as snacks. It was all about the protein and fat! Blah! I was at the gym most days and all the while still battling being a heavy drinker and bingeing on junk food when I was drunk, hung over or board. You can see it in my face how sick and un healthy unhealthy i was.
At this stage no matter how healthy I ate on a meat and dairy diet or exercised I would not get to optimal health because that way of eating was making me more clogged up and sick.
I had so many underlying health issues like Dengue fever, glandular fever,parasites, liver inflammation (from alcohol) Viruses that would longer for months, iron,b12 and folate deficiencies, serve inflammation, acne of face cheat and back, low blood oxygen, low blood pressure, adrenal fatigue, hormone imbalance, cellulite, candida, sleep deprivation, constipation, water retention, heavy metal poisoning (copper,mercury and I was intolerant to zinc because it was binding with the toxic metals so the one thing I needed most for my immune system was zinc to help me heal but my body was treating is as a toxin.
This all may sound full on but you would be surprised of how many people are walking around with health issues like this and just ignore it cause they are Usto that 'crappy sluggish' feeling/mood. A lot of health issues all go hand in hand, usually if you have one thing you'll have another or symptoms that follow the leader.
The middle picture is me during my healing, changed my lifestyle to plant based eating and got rid of the meat, dairy and processed foods and heavy drinking, started my intake of superfoods, abundance of fruits and vegggies. I Assisted my healing with help from a naturopath and taking herbs, juice cleanse (Gerson method) for a few weeks, raw food and resting by not doing intense exercise just light walking and bikram yoga now and then. I learnt a lot about my self in this time, and went thru highs and lows. I had detox symptoms like more acne, night sweats and slight insomnia, low energy, hair loss and dry skin. But I knew my body wouldnt heal over night from all those years of disrespect so I pushed on thru.
The 3rd picture was when I found the HIGH CARB LOW FAT LOW SODIUM vegan lifestyle, what a blessing. Thanks to Freelee O Frugivore I now eat as much complex carbs as I want, still with small amounts of good fats and protein. I have never had so much energy in my whole life, and felt more pure than this. Everyday I'm still learning and moving forward. It feels amazing to have the energy to be able to literally bounce out of bed at 5am, wanting to be active without having to drag myself to do it. I now don't deal with heavy acne (just a few blemishes now and then), don't have toxic fluid build up, no virus, fatigue or cellulite or malnutrition. Just Overall vibrancy.
Some people think living on a plant based lifestyle is extream! I say living with all those health issues on a junk lifestyle is extream!! Once you truly feel what vibrancy and thriving health feels like you can never go back.
