Fall/Winter Buys?

i have a pair of boots similar to these and i LOVE them! For me the go with everything. With jeans, dresses & tights, even with little slouchy socks.
I've worn the poor things to nothing though, I'm afraid.
where are these from?

I am so obsessed and have worn them everyday since I got them on Friday! They are BP trolleys from Nordstrom! They have leather and suede. I originally wanted suede but they didn't come in black (or they were sold out). So I got the black leather which really mimic suede well :) They are also super comfy! Didn't have to break them in at all.

Also, any suggestions from you lovely ladies about a place to get good quality black leather riding boots without completely breaking the bank? I'm always tempted by designer brands because I feel there's a better chance that they'll be made well, but I don't have a huge fall shopping budget.

i'm not sure what your budget is, but i LOVE stuart weitzman 50/50 boots. i have the over the knee ones in black suede. they are amazing and go with everything, and they're a dream to wear because they're so comfortable. honestly, i feel like i'll never purchase another pair of black boots ever again because they're just so perfect, i'll never need another boot. i swear if you buy them, you won't regret it! also, the regular leather version is very soft. they're definitely great quality boots.

I have these too and they are lovely because my calves don't appear to be swimming in them as with other boots :) But I find that my feet are always so cold in them no matter what type of socks I might be wearing!

I'm saving up to purchase these next year!

This is my first NYC winter, or shall I say my first winter ever because I'm from a very warm place.

And I don't have any clue about winter shopping or essential but I just ordered these stuff.

Do you think I need to buy a thicker coat for winter? or this one would work?

I can't really tell much by the photo, but I do believe you'll need something much thicker and warmer! I am not from New York, but from a place where we have identical winters-- snowy, windy, and COLD.

If you opt out of buying another coat, I definitely recommend layering times a thousand. Plus a big warm scarf. Plus gloves. And something over your ears. And make sure you're doubling up on socks..

This x10000000000. Oh my gosh. Anytime I go outside I can't wait to run back to my car and crank the seat warmers on high. It takes me a while to "thaw" out. One time I stuffed my bra with hand warmers; it was an experience.

Beware of the frozen tundra...

Layers layers layers. I'm apparently made of ice, so I usually end up wearing 2-3 thermals, a sweater, a thick coat (Mackage! You can probably find them at a major discount if you look. I got mine for less than $300, and it was originally $700) + wool tights, 2 pairs of socks, scarves, and leather gloves. I bought these rechargeable hand warmers from Amazon that are LIFESAVERS. I also love to wear exercise shirts under my clothing because they're made to keep you warm when jogging in cold weather :)
