Totally agree.

Overall I think that Jaclyn being a bit too pubic about what happened is a fairly minor transgression when you consider that this girl lives with her mother who appears to be allowing her daughter to publicly die slowly on twitch while fetishist's tip her every time she moves her makeup box from one side of the room to another (?!)

Staging an intervention and getting her some help is the best thing anyone could have done (beyond persuading her to stay in treatment for longer) and tbh, I don't blame her for talking about it to some degree because the amount of sideshow around Eugenia is crazy and it was probably hard to NOT make some kind of statement about it. But her mother seems to be enabling her and I just cannot relate to that. I can, however, definitely relate to wanting internet points and some credit for trying to do the right thing for a friend.

It's quite disturbing to think how many people are tuning into her channel in the hope she might die on screen because there's definitely some. She looks deathly ill to me. Her mother should be taking her to hospital now, right this second. She's actually GREY.

On another note, what's up with her voice? Has it always been that shrill?
Honestly I think Jaclyn and the "crew" are putting this information out there to set accounts straight, in more than one way. How many people are totally clueless as to the fucked up relationship this girl has with her mother? I mean I for one knew it was bad, but listening to Jaclyn talk about how this woman tried to get her arrested for staging an intervention is next level crazy.

That was a fairly long winded way of saying that I don't fault Jaclyn for her behavior up until the "setting the record straight" video. However, any continued attention paid to Eugenia and her struggles seems predatory.

I don't know what's weirder - the actual viewership (there's only one reason to watch her content because it's not great) or the extent of the subculture around people making video compilations of her videos under the guise of 'concern' for her well being.

I know this thread has not been updated in a while but I randomly thought of Eugenia today and wondered what she had been up to. I don’t follow her on social media at all and last thing I remember about her was that she supposedly underwent treatment for an ED and had been looking much healthier last time I checked. Looking at some recent posts she made on her IG, she looks as though she is quite possibly back to her lowest weight again. Really sad to see.

I have been following her reddit community full of people concerned, but by what I can see she is worse than ever.
Now she also does weird stuff like lifting a heavy box of makeup for money (some creepy dude was paying $120 when she did that). You can see the times she did it here:

I'm expecting her to die any minute actually, which is sad. Her mom is a huge part of the problem, ignoring everything is happening.

The length of time she spends on twitch chatting to strangers for hours on end every day is unsettling. I truly believe she's lost grip on reality- surrounded by stuffed animals and a disturbing amount of jack skellington from the nightmare before christmas merchandise (obviously symbolic), never leaves her room, seems to have no friends and little social interaction, attempts to escape herself by dressing up as different cartoon and video game characters, yet her mum does nothing. It seems Eugenia retreats into what she knows and is comfortable with when she relapses, I wouldn't be surprised if all the childlike obsessions are rooted in some sort of childhood trauma.

As for the moving her makeup box for the camera, it is definitely deliberate. Anorexia fetishists get off on watching anorexic girls struggle with tasks like picking something up, it's a sick power thing- knowing a woman is fragile, helpless and inferior in comparison to them and then wanting to fuel that weakness even further. Basically extreme misogyny to the point of rendering a girl inept. This video ("Inside The Sick World of Anorexia Fetishists") explains it really well.

People have criticised Eugenia for feeding these sickos, using it to say she's not as "innocent" as she comes across, but I think playing to the camera for fetishists just proves her vulnerability further. She's so lost in her disorder that she will go to any length to fuel it which is honestly so heartbreaking. To her, it's just the validation she's craving.

I am going to say her mom IS a BIG part of her problem. Granted I do not follow this girl now, but I remember watching a few videos featuring her mother, and the the dynamic and vibe just gave me an unsettling feeling. And the elephant in the room (Literally and figuratively) is the comparison in sizes between the mom and her. The mother is over weight or obese and her child is a bag of bones.
This, in itself, shows there is something going on here.

I even speculate that the mother propels her eating disorder because 1) her eating disorder gets views on Youtube and views means money and 2) its easier to control a sick person and I have a feeling that their relationship is of the toxic type.
The mom is probably using her as a cash cow to make money off youtube because there is no other reason why she would "ignore" her disorder otherwise.

I’m exactly the same. So much so that seeing this thread update made me wonder if her death had be announced. Not only is she at her lowest again, but her skin this time is grey and her hair is finally beginning to fall out.

Eugenia’s body has managed to resist many of anorexias symptoms, but it finally seems to be giving out. I doubt she’ll make it another 4 months, and even if she does recover, she’s taken decades off her lifespan.

First of all I feel dumb that I ever praised her body at all. In my defense she did, a long time ago, look good at some angles. Even though we strongly frown on ED "accusations" on SG, I am giving my personal opinion and strongly agree with everyone this girl is definitely not well. Beyond not well in fact. Major muscle wasting, etc. I hope she gets help and gets her life back on track.

I do feel bad for her, for absolute sure, I am not a total witch. However she is obviously milking it for $$. I get it that she is in the throes of an illness. Granted. But she 100% knows she looks that way, every one of her videos is a body check fest. And she knows people are getting off on it (ana fetish or trigger), and she keeps doing her stupid little tricks (pick up the big box, take off your jacket, pull back your hair, etc) for money. So like I know she isn't thinking right, but she has to own some responsibility for whoring it out. She is an adult.

I completely agree she knows 100% how to manipulate her viewers and probably gets a lot of satisfaction even from the comments of concerned people telling her to get well etc. Also agree that her tricks are completely intentional and it’s for views and maybe pleasurable to indulge in.

As much of an adult as she is though, she’s dealing with a disorder that’s taken over her logic and rationale, and I believe without outside intervention, it’s very difficult to remove yourself from indulging in this type of self destructive behavior similar to how a depressed individual just can’t snap out of suicidal thoughts. It’s a disease after all....

This is why I’m so mad at the mother because she’s basically THE closest person to her who could do something about it, whether forcefully (remove her computer, get her off twitch or YouTube etc so she can properly heal) or otherwise. But she’s not doing that and is letting her or maybe even taking part in this anorexic attention whoring behavior.

It’s worse than that, her mother is actively interfering with treatment. Jaclyn Glenn and a few other you tubers actually staged an intervention for her and got her admitted to a clinic, Eugenia’s mother called the police on them, saying that they had kidnapped her daughter, were dangerous, etc.

I am paraphrasing from this video, which I watched when it came out a year ago (so if some details are off that’s why, sorry y’all). But I think Eugenia did at some point actually want treatment, and either by force or manipulation her mother put an end to it—total speculation there btw.
