I think it looks like it might be some good mindless tv, but you know, for entertainment purposes and background noise only lol. A good more "realistic" show would be filming model apartments

A video clip from the latest episode of Model Squad ...

Models of color talk about racial discrimination in the industry and Devon chimes in with “Oh my god I totally know about that. Do you KNOW how hard it is to be blonde? They make me get highlights every week!” :mclap:

Is she purposefully acting like an ignorant airhead because her career is so dead she needs controversy to drum up attention of any kind? Or has all the bleach on her roots really seeped into her brain :eyeroll:

Bonus: “I don’t speak Paris or Italian ...”

I’m actually cringing watching this...is she like the stereotype dumb model that they threw in the show so that it has “range”?

I came here to post this too.

The way she jumped in so abruptly to hijack the conversation with ‘what are you talking about?’ seemed off to me. I thought maybe it was scripted, but you’d have to be incredibly dumb to let producers feed you a line that tone deaf.

Comparing the difficulty and struggle of coloured models fighting for their place and their work in the industry to having to get highlights is so obtuse.

Whether it’s a legitimate dumb comment, or she’s doing it for attention, it’s still completely ignorant and not the type of thing you’d want associated with you.

She might honestly just be dumb. I looked at her Instagram which led me to her YouTube channel, and couldn’t NOT take screenshots of the following ingredients she posted...

Cocao powder I’ll let slide, but based on her pronounciation and general lifestyle I highly doubt she’s using cocoa instead of cacao. Raspberries and agave there’s no excuse for. If she’s trying to build a lifestyle following for herself she could benefit from Attention to Detail 101.

I’m dying at the fact that she posted this:

Then 10 minutes later realized her epic photoshop fail and reposted:

Talking about her modeling career, about midway through she mentions how depressed she was when she first moved to Milan to model, she gained 3.5 inches on her hips because of stress eating, and her agency wouldn’t let her move to New York until she got back into shape. She says she worked out 1-2 times a day and ate a strict clean diet and lost the weight and moved to New York. I think she’s dumb and not the best model, but I really like how matter-of-factly she talks about overeating and dieting and doesn’t frame it like “OMG my agency gave me an eating disorder, fuck the industry!!” Instead, she just says she did what she had to do, which led to so many opportunities and good things for her.

The use of cocoa vs cacao is inconsistent, although the difference seems to be be whether the cacao beans have been roasted or not prior to processing.

Traditionally, cocoa powder is the term for the roasted powder used in baking, even in for many "health food" recipes. I've never actually heard of cacao powder until now.

The other terms hurt my eyes though, especially "raspberrys".

Yeah I know. That’s why I said based on her lifestyle I doubt she uses cocoa - which I stand by. Cocoa doesn’t have any nutritional benefits whereas cacao does.

The back and inner sides of her thighs need a LOT of work.
