What does everyone here think of this show? I'm kind of undecided as to whether I like it or not.

I watched the first season but I haven't had time to watch the second. Except maybe the first episode I think. I just find them online as I don't have a television at my apartment. I think it is very interesting and different. It is sort of out there: dragons, undead...but the bulk of it is really good. It follows multiple people which kinda sucks if an episode focuses on a group you don't like as much. I sure love me some khaleesi :luv:

I was really into the first season but this season is dragging for me. I read the first book too and it was kind of boring cause I knew what was happening. I also cant stand how the "bad guys" keep winning. Its infuriating! Haha. Im waiting for the Starks and the Khaleesi to win in the end.

Side note: Doesnt the Khaleesi actress look like she gained some weight this season???

I'm a fan of the books since 2008.

The first time around, I needed a big break before I could reread. They were just so dark and depressed me.

In preparation for ADWD I read them again and noticed much more details and foreshadowing. They are really great and I like the TV show as well.

edit: BTW, did you know there are some runway looks inspired by Game of Thrones? Must find the pics.

It's probably my current favorite show!:luv:
It's addictive and rightfully so!

P.s. Emilia Clarke aka Daenerys was always on the "curvy" side, but she is absolutely stunning! I wouldn't mind if she never lost weight actually... It also suits her role.

I love GOT!!! I read all the books too, and they're doing an amazing job with the show, though I'm not too happy with what we've seen of Margaery, she's nothing like the books describe her to be. I love Dany though. Also Robb, Bran, Arya, all of them actually.

What I don't get is why id everybody so obsessed with Jon (Kit Harrington). I think he looks awful, I shudder at that awful little moustache of his, gah.

I'm not too happy with Margaery either, but I might get used to her.

And wasn't Jon supposed to be pretty lean, even skinny and swift? During the first few episodes I tended to confuse Robb and Jon

I love Arya, she is one of my favourite characters from the books and the actress is perfect. I don't really like Sansa (but I'm not a fan of her in the books, so that seems right)

I am however getting more and more annoyed about the amount of sex in the tv series. Especially those encounters which were either absent from the books or implied (some secret looks or gossip/conversation would be more appropriate)

Yes sometimes the show is borderline porn!! I just watched the last episode and I cant wait for next week. They always end the show at the most suspenseful part. I think Jon and Arya have the best characters/actors. Robb's character is growing on me also. The dwarf is perfect and matches the book so well. I really want to read the rest of the novels now!!

LOVE the show and books.
I'm such a Lannister fan. They're sexy and they know it. ;)
I have read the second book (moving on to the third soon) so I know what's going to happen this season in the show, and it is SO hard not to pour out spoilers to my friends when they're watching it!

I watched the first season and loved it, received the series as a birthday gift and read them all, and I'm now thoroughly enjoying the second season.

My only complaint is that the first season spoiled me with regards to staying faithful to the books. The second season is veering away from the books quite a bit.

I really want to read the books, but we have to read "classics" for AP English, so I think I'll have to finish my current book, Anna Kerenina, before I start on those. Also I have to buy them and I'm semi-broke atm. lol.

I ended up reading the whole series. I've gotten quite into the TV show too. Does anyone else wish season 3 would start sooner? And I wish there would be more than 10 episodes!

I LOVE it so so much! great story, great actors and the whole production is very good (from a media whore's point of view ;)) i watched both seasons and am super excited for the third. ...but i cried a lot when Ned got killed though.

I LOVE the books and the TV show but honestly I'm a bit disappointed in Emilia Clarke (Daenerys). I mean she's beautiful but a bit chubby for her character. I mean at one point in the books/show she's travelling through the red sea (which is basically a desert) where there is very little to eat and drink. And they travel for months. The whole not-looking-like-you've-been-starving makes it a bit unrealistic for me.

My one little critique;)

She has already a very beautiful face and I think she'd look stunning skinny. But my main complaint with Dany isn't weight, but storyline. :( She's so far removed from the main story, they need to put in extra effort so Dany's story doesn't look cheesy/boring and the people she interacts with like cardboard cutouts/ethnic clichees.
