Angelina Jolie

Oh grow up please. Respect has to be earned. None of the more established members here found that everyone was 'pissed and offended' at everything they said just because they were rookies - we get 'pissed and offended' when people say stupid shit and then try to start childish arguments in their defence.

if you make the effort to listen to what other members have to say and to consider what you are typing and how it fits into the general conversation then people will appreciate your contribution regardless of post count.
Tell me, what "stupid shit" was I saying? Because I'm confused. I said I like Angelina because she's "insane" and "not basic." And a ton of people got offended at the term "insane" when I wasn't even meaning it in a negative way or glamorizing her mental illness, because I didn't even mention her mental illness in my first post. Sorry I didn't realize I had to be extremely extremely detailed. Now if this could be over with, that would be great. I'm just not going to say much for a little while. :eyeroll:

What, you want a recap?

You lack any commitment to reality. Or at least have a penchant for sensationalism. Or you're just really fucking sloppy when you post. Sure, Angelina Jolie being crazy and into "odd things" would be quite intriguing for those gossip-minded on here, but be prepared to justify such propositions with more reliable sources than tabloid newspapers and suspect blogs. Otherwise you could always say, "I heard rumours that she's struggled with some minor mental disturbances, but to me that only adds to her mystery," instad of, "She's obviously still insane."

You back pedal. A lot. First she's insane. And apparently she's insane because some nanny told DM that she used to have mild anorexic tendencies. But it's not so obvious maybe, as you don't know her personally and can't say 100% for sure. It would make sense that she's insane though, because she played an "insane" girl once. But you're only joking though! She's obviously not insane. Except she is, but it's her BPD that makes her so. And btw, you didn't actually say she was insane you said she is a crazy girl and that you love her for it. Here are screen grabs of the first four Google hits when you search for "Angelina Jolie + bpd"*. But like, it's actually not the BPD that makes her insane. She's just insane in general. But apparently you don't feel particularly devoted to conventional speech, so when you say "insane", you actually just mean open to new things. It's not rude at all! But she is still mentally ill, of course. Of course.

*Why screenshots and not links? Do you perhaps realize the lack of credibility your sources lend your claim?

And then there's your offhand remark that I'm syntehsizing conflict to impress other members on SGF, implying that either a) I'm twelve years old, or b) you lack a coherent understanding of how you come across in this discussion. Either way, I am actually sorry to be a bitch, but grandiose displays of stupidity like yours merit just that kind of response.

You're not coming off as a bitch. You're coming off as someone who has no life and gets offended by anything. ;) :mclap: It's really not that serious all I said was that she's insane. Sorry I didn't realize "insane" is a new triggering word.

I have BPD and a ton of other shit. I'm not saying it's great to have and I didn't describe her illness as insane. I said she was insane in general. But I didn't mean insane in a rude way I mean she's like very open to things a lot of people aren't and a lot of people would describe her as insane. In my opinion I think that people who don't understand mental illness or are perfectly clean of mental illness or having a perfect life aren't interesting which is why I'm attracted to people who have been through things as well. There's nothing wrong with having an opinion. She used to experiment a lot when she was younger and I do as well.

We'll definitely see. ;) I'm actually superrr sweet but a ton of you seem to get pissed and offended at any little thing I say, and I think mostly because I'm a rookie lol. I guess I'll just stick to updating pics of Marjan for now. Since my opinion doesn't really matter while I'm still a rookie. :jackoff:

Yikes are you a 16 year old who thinks mental illness is cool or cute or fun or edgy? Mental illness ruins lives, it ruins families if untreated. Mental illnesses cause strife, anger, alienation, and pain. Undiagnosed mental illness made my loving boyfriend of years punch me in the face, abuse me sexually for a year, and become an alien to me. Mental illness is not something fun, either for those suffering, or those in their proximity. Especially BPD. Shut the literal fuck up. I don't dislike you because you are a rookie. I dislike what you say.

I never said it was a bad thing. I actually like it as well. But people view it as "crazy thing." I wasn't making excuses for her behavior I was just saying besides that I love that she is not basic. By the way she has said that article about doing all of that to those kids was false anyways.

Please tell me how having a mental illness = not being basic. Panic disorder or schizophrenia don't make you more "interesting"

I never said I loved her mental illness jesus. I've been in and out of hospitals because of mine. The last thing I think it is is "cool". I thought the random stuff she's into made her unique. I didn't mention her mental illness in the beginning because I don't appreciate it. But "insane" somehow got twisted into this whole thing. This is becoming so annoying now like I get it.

Where in my first post did I say I loved her mental disorder because it makes her less basic? Again, this is becoming soo annoying and stretched out.

She's more than obviously still insane. I love her even though she is. It makes her not this basic boring actress with a "perfect" life and "perfect" childhood, she already looks mysterious so it adds to it.

In my opinion I think that people who don't understand mental illness or are perfectly clean of mental illness or having a perfect life aren't interesting which is why I'm attracted to people who have been through things as well.

There you go. Now, we've all pointed out, some gently, some not so gently, where you've gone wrong. Please have the grace to accept it and walk away.

Going to hospitals and meeting people who have been through the same things as me made feel so relieved and I finally had people who understood me completely. Then getting pushed into the real world again made me realize how easy some people have it and made them less interesting. In no way was I glamorizing it or thinking its cool. I think its fair to have my own opinion.

Sure, doesn't mean we have to agree with it.

You are entitled to your own opinion. But it seems like most of the people reading here (myself included) heard the same message based on what you said. I'm still not sure what you mean by insanity or what you like about her behavior, but I'll just leave this here:

Ole and Lena were so excited to get a new cellular phone. Ole was to call when he was on his way home from town. Ole called Lena when he entered the freeway.

"Lena, put supper on, I'm on my way home."

Lena says, "Be careful; I hear there's some nut driving the wrong way on the freeway."

"It's worse than that, Lena - where I'm at there must be hundreds of them!"

Since it seems like this disagreement will never end, heres one of my favorite arm thinspo pics with her. And hopefully this will be over with after this because I'm tired of these "dislike" notifications.

You need to seriously reevaluate your attitude girl
And clicking on disagree every time someone calls you out on this thread seems futile by this point.
Anyways, if you've scrolled through this forum a bit you may have noticed that after a disagreement, those you calmly admit they are wrong, apologize and move on are *surprisingly* better off than those who, well just like @elle_w00ds perfectly said, backpedal and contradict themselves as much as you do. Just saying

sounds like performative privileged feminism to me--getting off on other (brown) kids' suffering to make a film (and inevitably, a profit?)

Possibly not too much of a profit - I really don't think she's a very good filmmaker at all.

I tried watching By the Sea a while back (my husband was hoping it would be enjoyably bad) and it was like there had been a carbon monoxide leak in the room - we all slowly passed out from boredom. But what I saw was dreadful and very immature.

when you are not hired any longer for acting because even most of Hollyweird has checked that you are an asshole manipulator, you spread that you 'expand your art' and become a (lousy) director.

Sony Leaks. Camp Event. Ego bath. Delusional. minimal talented.

Like I have written here long time ago, coming from an Oscar winning director just last summer I worked with, total robot professional. Also, SHE contacted HIM to make an (awful) movie happen. And that was even before the leaks of Sony. Basically her actress career is dead in Hollywood since about 7-8 years. Sony leaks gave a hint, and her PR regarding the divorce was the final nail in the coffin. The gloves are off.
