I couldn't tell whether or not I could stand one of my coworkers for the past month or so because he often gets on my nerves, then today he said "Alexis Ren has to be the hottest girl on the planet."

I get how she's trying to sell that 'happy, blondey, california, confident' vibe girl, but honestly her instagram posts are entirely too much.

Out of curiosity I went for a scroll and I feel like 'attention-whoring' isn't even the correct term anymore, her posts screamm for attention in the most vulgar way. What was even going through her mind when she posted this:



That said, she does have a very tiny waist, about the only think I like about her though (that and her smile, which I find very solar and communicative in certain pictures)

In her defense I think her stomach/waist look bloated more than fat, more like a bad day. But her butt and cellulite are fine to me, she's toned, her body is nice, she should accept it for what it is instead of selling an illusion on Instagram.

Paparazzi pics from 2015, but this was around her ED period. She always had a little bit of cellulite, it doesn't make her body less nice, she could send a nice message to young girls if she stopped air brushing her legs. But she only opened up about her disorders for business reasons, not because she cares about being relatable

I think she looks the same in both sets of pics? The major difference is the pose and angle, and her stomach did seem a bit bloated.
Her butt pic might not be airbrushed, mild cellulite isn't usually visible when you arch your back.

The reason why I think this is bloating is because of the excess "puff" on her upper stomach. When I was heavier (and this may be different for everyone) my weight kind of gathered on my lower stomach while my upper stomach kind of... sloped down to it I could say? But now, when I'm bloated, my upper stomach gets kind of puffy, which is what it looks like is happening here.

Also, why the hell is she that tan in the first photo? A little bit of sun or tan can look healthy but as a European girl, she's a couple years away from her skin being a leather couch. Use sunscreen!!

Not very SG opinion but I would like her a lot more if she posted more relaxed pictures of her natural body instead of going all out when it comes to unnatural distorted poses and harsh editing. You can see she has a nice body with a small frame, small waist, smaller arms (look at her elbows/shoulder bone structure), and her long torso offsets her shorter legs which is good for commercial/bikini modeling. I find those papparazzi photos, even if bloated / 'imperfect', to be a lot more appealing than the awkwardly self-obsessed slow-motion faux-sexy videos always on her instagram.

Also @ecarlate, filters on photos can definitely accentuate tans, I know a few on VSCO that will make me go from my normal light-tan skintone to a deep dark orange, so I assume that's what she's using in those photos, but she also said once she spends hours in the sun daily as a requirement for her modeling... so hope she uses sunscreen too

I thought that this year's love advent videos were all about empowering women? (as much as Love Advent calendar videos can..)
For some videos it genuinely has (I'm thinking of Taylor Hill's for instance), for some less so, but what in the name of the lord is this?!

The fact that Love Advent's brand of fetishistic hyper-sexualization is marketed as "strong woman enjoying themselves / creative and empowering" is so telling about how borderline pornography - targeted directly to straight men - has become the most acceptable, publicized form of 'feminism' today. This has already been discussed in EmRata's thread, but the more of these videos and blurbs from models I see, the more it freaks me out.

exactly--like it was cringey enough when estella boersma did the whole 'kawaii girl gamer' thing at first, but someone as basic as alexis ren supposedly into it just seems contrived--driven for a young male on reddit. Only Gracie Hartzel seems genuine about those hobbies, as far as i'm concerned
