Angelina Jolie

I just find it weird that they had so many kids.

Yeah, I hope she gets custody and her kids don't get too screwed up by this. Although they're already in the media every day so I can't imagine it'd make that big of a difference.

On that note, I can't wait to see what the Jolie-Pitt kids (esp. their biological kids) look like when they get a little older. They're already stupid gorgeous.

6 kids?? Like, I understand 3 or 4, but 6 is insane even if you have the money to afford raising them
Did they have six children or are you counting the children they adopted too? I loved the fact that they adopted so many, that's something I would do too with that kind of money. But definitely, having too many children around the house can be stressing and difficult for a couple, even if you have a lot of maids. I don't want to be one of these people that says that kids ruins marriage or intimacy in a couple but who knows...I kinda feel like it was one of the factors here

My dad came from a family of 12, I've always envied him because it seemed amazing, and they weren't nearly as rich as them, the oldest take care of the youngest and it's almost like a community, I've always wanted that

My father has 9 siblings, my mother 4. Granted, their life circumstances were 100% different from those of Jolie/Pitt's kids, but imho there's nothing insane about it.

Maybe she only expected to have 3 through adoption and didn't think she would get pregnant or expected to have twins. Or get pregnant again.

I was curious about what she meant because to me the word 'weird' means more than just 'unusual' - more like aberrant, culpable, inexplicable, deviant, unnatural. I wondered if that's what @Tinyportia really thought about large families.

No spousal support is a tad strange which makes me think that there could have been a prenup. Just to clear it up, spousal support is not the same as child support. AJ can forego the spousal support but still claim child support from BP. Also, I had read somewhere that they had a prenup- so, they may have agreed prior to marrying not to pay each other spousal support in the event of divorce (def. not the case with child support). Not too sure why the media hasn't really reported on this little factoid. As a side note, I think it also is a reflection about how AJ is as a person. She is fiercely independent. Either way, I've always been an AJ fan.

I'd have had at least 6 kids if I was as rich as they are and could afford maids so I never had to clean up the kid's mess; I think it's a personal preference for most people, how many kids would feel right.

"Weird" was the wrong choice of word...I just meant "unusual", particularly given that they're both actors who probably spend quite a lot of time away from home (and presumably their kids) when filming. No judgment.

Its funny over the last months or so 2 very different people who never met, told me about good old Angie (Person A worked with her, Person B hosted her and her entourage during one of her (English vocabulary lack) völlig sinnebefreiten UN trip. Now with that knowledge + all the divorce dirt being leaked, (SGF isnt a gossip board and the support for sisterhood is real (cough) even though that one sister is anything but woman friendly), just one thing I think is important to say there are TRUE hereos in that household and they better 'won't file divorce' from A.

new cover and an appalling piece how she casted kids for her new flick:

to cast the children in the film, Jolie looked at orphanages, circuses, and slum schools, specifically seeking children who had experienced hardship. In order to find their lead, to play young Loung Ung, the casting directors set up a game, rather disturbing in its realism: they put money on the table and asked the child to think of something she needed the money for, and then to snatch it away. The director would pretend to catch the child, and the child would have to come up with a lie. “Srey Moch [the girl ultimately chosen for the part] was the only child that stared at the money for a very, very long time,” Jolie says. “When she was forced to give it back, she became overwhelmed with emotion. All these different things came flooding back.” Jolie then tears up. “When she was asked later what the money was for, she said her grandfather had died, and they didn’t have enough money for a nice funeral.”

I really want to like Angelina Jolie, but I still feel icky about her comment about not loving Shiloh as much because she hasn't suffered the same pain as her adopted kids, and this interview read slightly odd to me. Amazing actress though.

I want to admire Angelina Jolie for adopting all those children and having a (I hate this word) "woke" outlook, but it seems to me, especially given the comment she made about Shiloh, that she is one of those women who fetishizes the suffering a minority or otherwise underprivileged group goes through and uses it to improve her own image. That's not to say she hasn't improved those children's lives; I just feel that perhaps her motives were not entirely unselfish.

She's been through a lot. Had a very crazy life and was into odd things if you dig for information you'll see that. She's more than obviously still insane. I love her even though she is. It makes her not this basic boring actress with a "perfect" life and "perfect" childhood, she already looks mysterious so it adds to it.
