Anja Leuenberger

So I got suuper tipsy yesterday and apparently when the conversation moved to celebrities I spent around 10 minutes talking about how beautiful Anja Leunberger was. I didn't ever remember doing this but my guy friend just sent me a screenshot of how I googled her on his computer to show him, and I was like oh, okay, I definitely did that. I just find the whole thing so funny because I was out of my mind but it's such a weird, oddly specific person to talk about

Anyway, here's some Anja updates since apparently my subconscious is obsessed with her

She's beautiful but somehow she reminds me of Joey Potter from Dawson's Creek..maybe it's because of her smile.. am I the only one who sees this resemblance?

@bingeonvogue Not sure what your status is on that driving test but if you passed, then you and anja are twinning :p and if you are still in the process, this might be good inspiration :highfive:

Not sure why she insists on being so loud about being vegan if she's going to wear this much leather in one pic (jacket, purse, watch...). I love her regardless :p

Given the brands she tagged, I reeeaaally doubt it.

 Smart girl. But I guess my only issue is the...moral intensity and evangelical nature of her veganism. Why bother? That being said, I LOVE her vegan recipe insta/website and highly recommend it for yummy but healthy meals: @cookingveganwithanja.

Could be free clothes? It'd be almost more wasteful to throw away than wear at that point.

Unpopular opinion but I find this girl incredibly annoying so I'm not very surprised

I (kind of) agree. But posting it to Insta + tagging the brands (which I noticed she doesn't even do that often overall) is giving out advertising for something which she seems incredibly against (almost to the point of tears in some videos...). It just seems a bit disjoint.

I would say though, that veganism is not about necessarily being perfect in every aspect of your life. I am passionate about veganism thus I don't buy products made from real leather or fur, however, I cannot say that all my clothes are completely vegan as there are materials that can contain animal products. I do not have money to afford entirely vegan clothes, however I do try to do the best I can. This might not necessarily be her case, but I would agree that throwing something away, even if it is real leather, would be wasteful. But I would just give it away rather than wear it.

My point is that whereas there is a moral issue when it comes to veganism, it is also about trying to consciously do whatever you can to not harm animals and the environment and sometimes there can be obstacles that you can't yet go around.

To stay on the topic, I love her look, her body and bone structure. It's been a while since I had a crush on a model, I started to think it will never happen again.

Oh I think we're almost completely in agreement. My "issue" (and it's more a confusion than any kind of stance "against" anything) is with the fact that Anja seems to have a very well-curated internet/social media persona and this kind of blatant advertising of non-vegan products seems very at odds with this image she seems to have carefully put together. I'm not taking any kind of moral high ground here: I'm not vegan or even vegetarian (though I do try to be as close as possible, for health reasons), and I'm pretty sure I have the same jacket she's wearing in her pic!

Anyway, back on topic: crushes on Anja all around!!

Thing is she's really preachy about being vegan. I'v seen her talk about honey not being vegan a trillion times. But I guess honey has a lot more calories than leather.
(I don't mind her wearing leather, but I don't like the general hypocrisy.)

Agreed with many that she is annoyingly moralizing about her veganism (water intensivity of most almond milk anyone?) and seems to love herself a little too much on insta but meh, so so leggy, lean and gives me healthy food inspo so I'll take what I can get

(^more leather )

Devil's advocate here, but I've noticed several times on her IG that she thanks designers for sending her vegan sneakers, clothes, etc. So I do think she at least tries to adhere to her veganism as much as possible in the fashion industry.
I do believe that veganism is her personal choice (to which she is absolutely entitled) however I do find it annoying (read: offensive) when she publicly food shames EVERYONE around her for eating animal products. I would like her much more if she did her own vegan thing (including her cooking blog) and presented it as advice showing that veganism can be healthy---rather than blatantly suggesting that anyone who eats animal products is disgusting. Long story short, I had to unfollow her despite her beauty because I found her just too annoying and smug.

This is exactly what I wanted to say, but much more eloquently put.

(Minus the unfollowing -- we have a similar body shape and she is just too good of a motivation to give up.)
