Gilmore Girls

"If it brings you joy you keep it, and if it doesn't, out it goes. No joy."
"He's taking the dining room chairs"
"They don't bring me joy."

I always loved the bantering on this show. EXCITED!!

I love how Emily is wearing a baseball tee. Can't wait :)

I am counting down the days. I can't wait to see what they have done with Jess. He was such a frustrating character, so much potential, yet he did nothing with it! In the end they made him grow into some wisdom though, and be so authentically himself. I'm sure he has something good to say to Rory in all this! They always saw through each other, but also projected onto one another. Can't wait!

Post-GG reboot thoughts?

I was happy to see all the characters again, but I was ultimately disappointed w/ Rory's plot. She just moped and complained and made terrible decisions for 6 hours! (And the "twist" at the end was just..... no.) The musical portion was also extremely gratuitous and kind of a waste of 15 minutes.

Loved Emily's storyline. She's always been my favorite anyway - Kelly Bishop is a national treasure :) I won't give more away in case people haven't watched it yet.

I was kind of disappointed too! But I feel like we were expecting everything would be perfect for Rory and that's just not how life works, sometimes things just suck. It definitely wasn't what I was hoping it would be but it wasn't as terrible as it could've been.

So so so disappointed in the reboot. I don't know what I was expecting but dear lord, Rory was such a disappointment. She did a lot of very "un-Roryish" things. Where did this whiney, draining woman come from? Ugh.

I was disappointed too. Since Season 5, she's turned into a spoiled, self-entitled brat who completely can't handle it when things don't go 100% her way. I loved high-school Rory - the shy, bookish, independent introvert. She grew up to be the poster child for spoiled rich girl!
The following article does a great job summing up everything that's wrong about her:

I love this show! Oh the memories! I've watched this show so many times I can't even keep count! I think I am the only one who actually liked Logan and Rory together.
I loved them together too, they made a great couple. I dont know why people prefer Rory and Jess

It's been a while since I've seen one of these, but heads up girly, if the last time someone made a most was Christmas Eve and it is now march, make sure what you're saying is worth it!

I think that's a bit harsh. It's not like @roslyakova wrote something dumb like "I love Gilmore Girls". She has an opinion on a topic that is different to what majority of viewers think. If she'd said "I like Jess", then yes, I agree = DUMB. Everyone prefers Jess (myself included). Granted, it would've been better if she'd elaborated on why she prefers Logan, but nevertheless, when I saw her post iI felt inclined to respond and share my two cents on the situation, which, by the way are as follows:

I've read that the people that prefer Logan to Jess are also the ones that prefer Christopher to Luke. Which is interesting considering that Luke = Jess and Christopher = Logan. The revival season brought home the "full circle" theme that the entire series was based on: Rory and Lorelai are so similar, that Rory is destined to end up like her mother. The writers did not want the audience to love Christopher in the same way they loved Luke and likewise, the writers wanted the audience to feel the same way about Logan and Jess.

Thank you, I thought by giving an opinion someone would see it and perhaps have something to say about it like you did, and I understand I could have ellaborated more before. I'm not complaining but like every time I type a single thing here most of the time someone has something negative to say, but I'm getting used to it and trying to follow rules and stuff, so I guess I didnt wanna say much there.
As regards the show itself - what you say is very true, I did prefer Christopher to Luke, I think Logan and Chris are obviously more like each other thus they conform a "type" in the series.
I've always liked Logan for Rory the most, I think they were perfect for each other. Rory changed Logan in a good way, there's certainly some character growth in him throughout the show, and Rory seemed so much happier when she was dating him than with Jess and Dean. I've read people didnt like Dean ( I used to like him before Logan) because he was quite manipulative and controlling towards Rory, which is quite true in a way, but I guess they were much younger then. Jess - god I never liked him, he seemed like such a jerk to me, Rory never seemed comfortable with him even though they had things in common. Perhaps they could've worked in the revival since he's more mature though I still would have prefered Logan.

Didn't mean any harm, no need to read anything more than what it says. Simply giving the girl a heads up on how the forums sort of work.

Whereas now, your response, is a well thought out opinion.
