It was amusing how she very quickly made her profile page private to hide those juvenile status updates, so I'm glad they are now again revealed in all their glory, including other slags against her publisher. I had no idea that I wasn't the only one getting a bad feeling about her. I haven't followed her that closely and read all of her threads, but it was just so weird: the use of her full name (+promotion of her website/book/etc.) and the nagging feeling of arrogance that I got when reading her first few posts about how she does ballet with a kind of implied message that she thought she was better than everyone else. Didn't think it'd come to this, but I'm glad she's gone.

I'd say she ticks off several of those. This is obviously not a diagnosis but seriously, didn't she come off narcissistic?
I think it's the difference between proana sites and this site, that site really does promote a different, more pubescent self-aggrandizing mentality, filled with sheeple and woe-is-me attitudes. Girlfriend didn't realize it won't swing here 'til it was too late.

Whatever the case; the girl needs to sit down, calm down and center herself from her first-world problems.

wow -she really seems to be the record holder in appearing on this forum and reveal herself as so immature and impossible that she gets banned so fast. (Thx for that btw @AB) This whole discussion was just very entertaining and has just strenghened my paranoia about revealing even the tiniest bit of personal information on the internet. im still flabbergasted at how one can be so careless with that..

I have two minds about this. I went on there once bc I saw all kinds of outright lies. This happened when someone who wanted to be a member just honestly told me that's where she heard about SG. So I went on and was freaked by the stuff people just made up.. like not exaggerations but total lies. So I signed up as myself and made some responses. I don't regret it too much really but it was honestly useless, there are so many dumb girls there. Most were too dumb to even realize it was me, even though I used "Skinny Gurl" and this avi. Like there were girls being all "how do you know SG isn't like that?" "I disagree, I have heard otherwise" or whatever when I am stating actual facts - like hello, do you know more about me than I do?? It goes to show, many times I have been tempted to open up SG membership so I don't have to manually approve everyone, but then I see boards like that and know why I made the right decision to keeping it closed.

But I am very competitive and egotistical and get really bitchy when people lie about me or something I value. And now she's over there lying about why she was slapped. Not "well that's her opinion" but actual lies. I am tempted to go over to that MPA thread myself and straighten out her dumb ass. But @sabine is so right, I don't want to show approval of the pro-ana scene, it's a sick thing and I am very against it. So I am not going to, more posts from me will make too much a connection in people's minds. I don't have any problem or judgment with girls who struggle, many here have, it's the attention-whore scene I hate. I have accepted people as members who have been members there. Some turned out good. Some didn't. A couple of you have accounts on there, actually I think we have one loyal member who has an account they only use to defend SG, so whoever you are, PM me so I can bribe & reward you. :flower: I think, if I am being honest, I'm mostly against the "scene" bc of how fake it is and how it basically mocks those who have actually suffered. I bet 95% of those girls aren't really anorexic or bulimic and never have been, and almost that many percent are average weight or higher - some of them a lot higher. Like seriously- when I was on there looking around, I saw fat (really fat, not SG fat) girls crying about how much "ana" is making them suffer. Uhhh... sorry no. So is it just a big attention thing??

I was checking the forum and I realized the same thing... most of them are fat, and the way they speak... I thought they would be very young people but then I read a thread where there are people of all ages :wtf: . They are just fat wannabes, which is pretty sad... being a wannabe of an illness is the height of idiocy or another dissorder they are blind to see.

I had no idea they were all so fat.

In retrospect, it makes sense now with their commonplace fat mentality - they think thinner= anorexia. They cant fathom that people can be full with less food...so its not their appetite thats indicative of any pathology....but its the thinner persons appetite thats abnormal hence anorexic. Wow, so sad.
