Anyone has seen it so far ? I will go on Friday because I have heard wonderful things about it. Almost everybody loves it. :hyperhyper:

I saw it, not knowing what to expect, and I loved it. After I finished watching it, I couldn't think of another movie with which to compare in terms of the style of the movie. Maybe I just don't know a lot of movies, but I think it's pretty unique.

I was blown away by how "real" it looks even though obviously the actors were not actually in outer space. There were a lot of suspenseful moments and some where I actually flinched. :p (I was watching it in 3D, though, so flying bits were "coming" toward me...)

A lot of people left the movie saying, "God, I'd never want to be an astronaut now..." because of the fear involved, but I remember thinking, "Wow, what a way to see the world!"

Hope you enjoy it, too :)

I was skeptical because I tend to not like what everybody loves but I loved it. I loved the feeling of loneliness and helplessness I felt watching it. It might be a weird thing to love, I guess, but it was astonishingly real to me.

I absolutely love the music + sound editing. It was brilliant, perfectly balanced and created much of the mood. I would write more but I feel the less you know about it the better.

Me too :) Plus, the feeling of being 'alone' in the universe must be incredible. By alone I mean in a small group of astronauts, I actually thought about it when Ryan talked about silence in about 3rd minute of the movie :)

And one of my friends actually said that he wouldn't want to be an astronaut ;).

I saw Gravity in IMAX 3D when it came out, so it was quite the experience. I wasn't sure at first and thought that it would be boring (how much can happen in space, right? a bunch of floating around...) but it was nothing like that. There was everything you would expect in a good movie, plus a stunningly real perspective of being in space. one of the few movies I actually considered paying to see again. And when you come out after the movie is over, you actually feel really grateful for being alive on Earth and grounded, you know, with gravity, oxygen, life all around you. thank god my job's not an astronaut. they really do have it tough. This movie is as close as it gets to living that space fantasy, except without all the dangers that is presented to you. 0_o

Am I the only one who dislikes this movie? :nervous:

Of course the scenery and the pictures were breathtaking, especially in 3D. But if my friend had not invited me I would have walked right out of the cinema after 15 minutes.

I couldn't stand the whole plot, someone said sth about Murphy's law and it's true, it always came to the worst and that was kind of boring for me after a while.

The dialogues were so bad I thought it was almost embarrassing.

But the worst thing was: What did they want to tell us except that being an astronaut is dangerous? Or that space and earth are beautiful? There was no ideal of human, as far as I think. Probably that sometimes you are all alone but it is worth fighting?

But, I have to admit that the technical details were brilliant. Maybe I just expected different. ;)

I liked it. I thought it was really cool and something that hasn't really been done before. There are very few movies that I ever actually want to see in theaters, and I'm happy I made the trip to see this one. I also appreciated it's short run time.

And I could honestly listen to George Clooney's voice all day. :luvluv:

I thought it was a pretty good movie. But some of the science and physics were apparently  to some people.

The cinematography was brillant however etc

I agree, the dialogue was weak.

I didn't like it much either. Visually it was gorgeous, but the story... :nervous:

The dialogue was just Sandra Bullock screaming and gasping, so way to go Warner Bros for making female astronauts look so great
