Your opinions on a good "iconic" or "it" bags. I don't mean bags of the season but a timeless classic. Which bag would you choose?

I always choose a good Chanel

For a long time, I wanted a Chanel 2.55, preferably the reissue, without the interlocking cc clasp, since I like to keep my logos minimal.

But I have found a new love! The Louis Vuitton Alma in epi leather. Perfect and classic.

Tory Burch Reva Clutch (IMO)- I own this bag and I personally believe it is a timeless handbag. It really classes up any outfit.

@Xsmall, I love the Celine bag. I really really want one but there's no way I can buy one yet. The Hermes is still iconic - I don't know if it's still considered the bag of the bags. I used to like it a lot actually a few years ago and would beg my mum to borrow it but she didn't trust me with it. Then I started seeing a lot of people around me with so now it's kind of lost it's appeal to me.
Same with those Louis bags, quite a few girls have them at uni, too common.
I like the Tory Burch bag, it's classic and elegant. Good choice!

@alexandtm, I love that Louis.
I actually can't stand that brand for bags but that bag is beautiful - elegant.

I never was a fan either, until I happened to spot this bag on a street style blog. I was so surprised it was LV. I like the shape of the speedy, too. But I don't think I'd ever want one of those for myself.

The Valextra isis shopping tote is pretty classic in my opinion, though probably not iconic but I'm still obsessed with how simple but polished it is.

I'm a huge clutch person and I think the Bottega Veneta knot clutches are pretty iconic & timeless.

I feel the same. I have one & I mainly use it as a laptop bag when I'm taking mine into work or it also works well as an overnight bag because it can fit so much (35cm one) and is super sturdy. It will always be a classic, but I just feel like it is overhyped/has become tacky with overexposure and all the ridiculous colors. I also had a Kelly briefly 6 years ago when my mom gave me one she didn't use anymore - I was 20 and dumb and gave it to a friend because I thought it was too matronly - and of course that's the one I wish I had now over the Birkin.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I'm always kind of surprised when I find myself liking a Louis bag. #snobbery #sorrynotsorry
