Just started buying the seasons on DVD since I was too young to watch while the show was on TV. Is anyone else a fan? I find it very addictive...

I WAS LITERALLY ABOUT TO START A BUFFY THREAD! You beat me to it!

This is my FAVORITE show. I love it, I love it, I love it.
I watch them on Netflix and other online sites. I want the DVDs SO bad. I do worry that someday DVDs will become obsolete and I will have spent all my money on DVDs and can't use them anymore lol.

It's also entertaining to see Buffy's weight change throughout the seasons. In season one, she is a bit bigger, and has a bigger chest, but within a couple seasons, she was super skinny and flat chested.

I'm also in love with Alyson Hannigan so no big deal. She is super cute especially in the first several seasons.

However, my favorite part of the show: SPIKE.

He's hot.
Yum.
He's REALLY hot.

If you like Spike, click those^^^ and you won't be disappointed.

^^Haha, I've never watch this and thought it always seemed kind of tacky but I think I changed my mind and might take a look ;)

Well, Buffy really is a super cheesy and campy show, but it gets serious and emotional at times. Some of the stars are amazing actors (Alyson Hannigan). Mostly, if you decide to watch, try to get past the 1st season, it gets way better starting at season 2. :)

I LOVE IT !!!! i own all the seasons for many years now and i watch it a lot. the show is part of my life, i enjoy it soooo soo much, i love almost every character and i know the plot really by heart.

and i love to recite quotes from the show and that there is only a few people left who will react to it because they know what i am talking about :luv:

i am addicted forever :luv:
i am such a nerd ;)

I'm already at episode 3 :oops::whistling:

I bought season 1 and went back two days later to get season 2 and it was the same guy at the cash and he was like weren't you just here? Uh, no...

I LOVE Buffy!

I agree, the show is mostly cheese and bad special effects, but what Joss Whedon (director, writer) does really well are character dynamics and dialogue. You really feel for the characters and the way he can turn around situations and create some of the most emotional moments on a TV (a campy TV show no less) is astounding.

I'm still having a hard time watching *that* episode.

He's done very similar character dynamics in Firefly and Avengers!

edit: BONUS! Buffy vs Edward:

Does anyone remember when Spike comes into the picture in the series? I can't wait for that!

well cheesy/tacky/juvenile though it may be (but honestly its not as cheesy as so many shows these days) I have a serious soft spot for buffy, it being my sister's favorite show, and all the memories of watching it with her because it made her happy:)

It is a pretty addictive show. I don't watch it much anymore; never watched it back in the day actually.

It was my favorite show back in the day :) the whole family would watch it together and we would talk about it days on end until the next show would come up. It was our guilty please (I don't think we admitted to watching it to anyone :p )

I watched the first couple of seasons ... but I ended up losing interest.

Season 2 episode 3 if I remember correctly. And yeah Spike is probably my favourite character.

I love this show! I always watched it with my sister, it was kind of our bonding thing because we were/are acutally not that close. She owns all the series on DVD and once I borrowed it and watched it all in a row.

I love the episode when she was in college and no one believed her that her roommate was a demon

He comes in in season 2 in an episode called "School Hard" it's the 3rd one in season 2 I think!

By Season 4 he becomes a really important main character.

I think I'll only start watching these series because of Spike
