What kind of clothes do you wear to show off your skinniness?

I love collar bones. I can't wait until mine are better. *heavy sigh* @RedGlitter has the BEST collar bones. Her avatar is my thinspo...

Anyway, for me it is not all about WHAT I wear, but the fabric I can get away with now. When you are fat, you can really only look presentable in jeans, cotton, etc.

But when you are skinny, and you can put on a little dress or those drapy shirts that the models wear (see thread about models in street clothes). Those fabrics show every wrinkle of fat. But when you are skinny, they look and feel FABULOUS.

You´re so nice ;) The thing about my collar bones is that they are visible because I have a larger frame - especially my upper body, so bones show up quicker. Nevertheless when I weighed 20lbs more I had no collar bones, so it was nice to see them one day  So that can be good, but it also means I can never reach for this tiny bodyshape some girls and especially models have. Its more about an athletic and slightly curvy-thin body then. What I wanted to say is, if you have a smaller frame, don´t worry if it takes a bit longer until yours show up :)

I also agree with you on what you say about material. When you have more weight, thicker materials are better and when you´re really skinny you can have aaaaall the beautiful light and airy fabrics.

I like skinny jeans with heavy boots - your legs look thinner cause of the contrast :luv:

I have huge bones. I am pretty sure I was meant to be a man and play in the NFL.

So I know that I will never be the majority of members here idea of skinny, but it will be my skinny and I can't fricking wait. My collar bones are just coming back in.

@Millan Ah, so we´re definately in one boat :highfive:

Your comment about the NFL cracked me up

My upper body is very skinny and my arms look so fragile. I usually wear short and tinny shirts, or everything what could show my upper body.
I'm nor very satisfied with my legs, but I usually wear leggings ;)

Does anyone else wear the baggy off the shoulder tops, or loose but crop tops the skinnier they get? I think if I'm not DELICATE skinny these tops look frumpy. I do not like them with bigger breasts either. But when I am lithe as can be, they really show off my shoulders and how tiny I am. I do pair them with shorts or thing legged items.

I love sundresses that since at the waist. Black is always a nice way to enhance everything. Lace & revealing tops to show some skin and all that hard work.

Oh. And since it's summer: Bikinis, bikinis, bikinis!!:highfive:

I have a small waist so I love showing that off with dresses that tie at the waist, or wearing something that accentuates my bony torso. Just bought this groovy dress with a little slit between the tits, just big enough to let my slight xylophone peep through and greet the summer sun :luv:

Yes!! Loose & softer light colored fabric tops become so alluring when I am skinnier and I definitely agree that at a bigger weight, I wouldn't even think of buying them.

I also love love sun dresses that emphasize waist since I am really happy with mine. Also high-waist skirts.

Does anybody get more creative with styling as they lose more weight? I know I am unbelievably more advantageous when I am skinnier ;)

My favorite are things that show off the back. I love to see spine, back ribs, and shoulder blades. SOOOOOOOOO gorgeous.

I tend to wear the same types of clothing regardless of my weight for daily stuff, but my thing to look forward to is knowing I'll look good in pencil skirts again! Those are hideous on me when I'm over 100lbs, I just feel uncomfortable. Though honestly, I may get to wear one about once a month at best, I can't work in skirts and I'm pretty much there or at the gym or studio every waking hour.

I feel my best in not-quite-skinny, not-quite-straight leg dark (usually black) jeans, some sort of shoe or boot with a heel, and I love anything that shows my back or arms off, because when I'm at a good weight, those areas look pretty okay. I definitely think monochromatic colors (almost my whole wardrobe is black) show best, too.

I'm really looking forward to my awesome red cocktail dress fitting again, too!

Flowy strapless maxi dress! Shows off collarbones and thin arms :) also makes me look taller (5' 1)

1. Batwing dresses, black leggings and ankle boots.
2. Loose tunic or loose long sweater with black leggings and ankle boots.
3. Cropped top ( as they're baggy), black leggings and a mini skirt with ankle boots.
4. Dark skinny jeans with a long cardigan, a loose top and ankle boots.

Those are my everyday outfits to look skinnier.

  • Strapless dresses to show off my collarbones and small bony shoulders

  • Anything that shows off my legs (they look nice and long for a short girl)

  • Small clothing that looks baggy on me to exaggerate how small my body is

  • Anything that clings to the waist/stomach (both are small and flat)

I think skinny jeans (tight, but not too tight) are the best for showing off skinny legs, even more so than wearing shorts. Also, I like wearing a large sweater with skinny jeans to emphasize my legs

I love wearing skirts, I think if you have skinny legs short skirt don't look trashy and slutty at all. Skirts combined with sweaters are my favourite thing. Also skinny jeans look amazing on nice legs. I wear every kind of clothing actually, everything can show your skinnyness if you style it the right way.

I love looser, short sleeve shirts, and they really show off arm progress.

Boatnecks are wonderful for collarbones, and I also love high waisted skirts because they add a little bit of length to my legs and make them look even skinnier
