Thursday Thinspo – Models Eating Backstage

For this weeks Thursday Thinspo I thought we should take a behind the scenes look at what models eat backstage.  It always fascinates me to see what they are sticking in their mouths and we rarely have an opportunity to see their eating habits.

Some of these pictures are old and some are new – enjoy!  : )

    They look uncomfortable with food. I don’t know if that’s because they have to eat or because people are making photos of them to make the world see “what models eat” :)

      Well think about it, you have to uphold your super skinny status as a model yet people are taking pics of you eating to publicize??? Food is kind of personal for a lot of people and I’d be uncomfortable and nervous if some photographed me while eating, whether i was eating a blueberry or a piece of chocolate cake – its awkward.

    I love seeing models eating! and when you see them on videos and interviews they will take a bite, chew like 76385 times, wipe their mouths, take a break, and then the cycle starts again haha

    lol, well I know I don’t like people watching me eat.. so I can understand if they feel uncomfortable with people taking photos of them eating.

    Wow, the first two. Are they eating biscuits? As for the last one, I’m not sure whether I can stand eating only that portion for lunch :(

    Hi,

    I visited your site for the first time this week and would ne grateful for any help you could give me. I used to be much skinnier but have put on weight in the last year. I’ve started exercising every day to try and get my weight back down but am worried about managing how much I eat. I normally eat salad for lunch and have replaced dinner with cereal but would like to cut down more to lose the weight more quickly. I’ve read that drinking shakes and smoothies is a good way to go but I worry that as this is more like drinking, I’ll end up eating something else afterwards as my body won’t think it’s full. Also, I’m about to move home having lived on my own and am worried about carrying on my good habits when I’m living with my parents. I’ve already decided to tell them I’m training for a race to explain the exercising but as there’s lots of junk food at home, I’m worried I might lose control. Does anyone have any advice to avoid visiting the snack cupboard, especially in the evening after work?!

      Pretend that the snacks belong to someone in your family and they’ll get angry if you eat them, lol!

      Also, I find the more I run, the more motivated I am to eat healthy because 1. I feel better running when I eat healthy and 2. After spending all that time and effort burning those calories I don’t want it to go to waste by splurging on ice cream, right?

      Prepare some healthy snacks for yourself, like apples or other fruit. And don’t eat too little, if you feel deprived you’re more likely to end up raiding the cupboard ;)

    Drink lots and lots of water, green tea, ect. You loose weight much faster when youre constantly drinking and you dont feel as hungry. To keep weight off and be healthy you have to do it the right way. Lots of excercise, no sugars, reduce your carbs. Eat small meals throughout the day to keep you full and trick your metabolism rather than 3 normal meals, mostly fruits, veggies and lean protein. As for snacking at night, pre make healthy snacks (bags of celery, peices of apple, rice cakes, ect) that you can snack on, guilt free, if need be. If you search through the starving tips on this site they have quite a few about resisiting temptations and alot of them have worked well for me.

    Thank you so much! It’s so nice to talk to people who are supportive and encouraging. The rest of my family are over-weight and seem to be obsessed with food! I’m finding your site really helpful. I absolutely love Sasha Pivovarova so thanks for the pictures!

    Hey guys! Ok so I need help!! I weigh 143 lbs. 5 months ago I weighed 130 and that was my skinniest. I wanted to weigh alot less but my family started making rude remarks such as you are too skinny and your boobs are getting really small! What can I do/ eat to loose at least 20-30lbs in the next month or 2 if that is possible.

    Hello:) Its me again.. thanks for sharing everything on here.. Well I lost 5 lbs in the past 5 days… I weigh 137 Now. Hopefully less than a month away from reaching 117. :) I know I can do it with the help and motivation from this site! :)

      Hey Larissa, I’m 5′ 6″ also and at my highest (pregnant) was 165. I found that being vegan has helped alot at losing weight (now I’m 118, was 115 but u know how weight fluctuates lol) maybe try cutting out meat and dairy and see what happens?

    Fruits and vegetables, does anybody else just hate eating them but do anyway because you really don’t want to gain weight? Ugh! Though, it’s comforting to see them eating something (at least I’m not the only one).
