Thinspo Music by Jussy

I wanted to share some more thinspo music from the group Jussy.  I posted a YouTube video of one of their songs a few weeks ago, one of the most extreme songs they’ve written, and wanted to follow up with a few of their others that aren’t so intense.

I’ve been emailing with the vocalist/lyricist of Jussy, a follower of SkinnyGossip, and getting some inside information about some of their songs and their underlying messages.  Jussy has billed themselves as The World’s First Thinspirational Band, with most of their songs being thinspired.

If I scared you away when I shared their first one, Let’s Go Starvros, give these another shot.

“Can You Still See Me?”  (about getting skinnier for an ex):

“My Face Will Change” (about getting skinnier for an ex):

“I Know There’s You Inside” (romantic couples thinspo):

If you would like to download these songs, they are available on iTunes.

    wow, um, autotuned much? haha!
definitely a change from the first one. I could barely hear it! so while their music kind of sucks, i have to admit the idea of a thinspirational band is certainly interesting. i don’t completely agree with their angle, though. I snooped their facebook and myspace pages and it’s pretty obvious they’re not going out of their way to keep their fans best interest in mind.

so i hate to say it, but there’s really nothing compelling me to get behind these guys. their music’s not good and their message is concering. but if anybody else can find good in them, i won’t stop them!

I agree, haha. I don’t see why they were even worth mentioning, but that’s just me..

      • Rozy says:

OMG YES! They suck. Seriously, as a musician, i have to say that this fails majorly. I can’t even express in words how bad I find this music.

The idea is great, but damn… If they don’t stop soon, I’ll have to take to making this kind of music, just to prove it doesn’t HAVE TO be this bad.

    Horrible : (

  3. Mia says:

They promoto eating disorders, not pro-skinny. I don’t like their music.

    • kiss says:

Completely agree. I find them more upsetting than inspiring.

      • imogene says:

disorders i beleive, only start once your in hospital..
        being skinny though,
thats a prized medal you can wear on the outside for everyone to see and evny.
plus you know you acheived it.
you buy clothes and shoes and cars and houses
but to be skinny, you earn that :)

          Good one!

        • Tinuviel says:

Hospitals have nothing at all to do with when disorders start. Statements such as yours can be very misleading and dangerous for someone with an eating disorder and discourage them from getting help just because they’re not in a hospital yet. Think before you post, please.

  4. Charlie says:

    Oooooh I love that song

  5. Chloe says:

forget the lyrics. the music is horrible, to say the least.

  6. L says:

Have any of you heard of satire before? If what the OP is saying is true–that she’s been emailing the lead “singer”–I’m quite certain he’s trolling her to say the least.

No one in their right mind would create a *legitimate* band for the purpose of advocating eating disorders.

  7. A says:

i must share with you, my favorite thinspo blog, that i got down to 105 this week @ 5’7″!! i am still there and even think that i might be fluctuating between roughly 102 & 105.

i am so happy and feel great, but there is a trick: i started with the master cleanse. i was at around 110-112 and since the cleanse have been eating about 500 cals a day of really really healthy foods, as well as biking and yoga..

    it is possible beauties!

    • katryn says:

Congrats! I’m 5’7 1/4″ and 103. Like it a lot. Easier to move around, like the mirror, feel healthy. Can’t believe it. I don’t count my calories but am very careful!! Mostly paleo, low carb. zone type for me..

If I can do it you all can too!

  8. skinnybananas says:

    @A, that’s pretty amazing; congrats (:

  9. shayla says:

Yea… this music sucks! But if someone finds inspiration in it! Okidoke!. The idea of a thinspirational band is great but ..pro disorder no thanx.

  10. Sarah says:

My ears are bleeding. They are truly atrocious. I don’t know who they’re trying to kid but there is no musical talent right there, it’s them talking into a mic and putting some crap on in the background. The only remotely good thing about it is the pictures that play ( although in the couples one a picture of Kate Moss comes up… relevance? )

  11. tawnya says:

don’t like them they honestly suck hardcore. but i finally got down to 100 pounds with my jizz diet and i am 5’7 about 10 more to go!

  12. naomie says:

I love this song, its the kind of song that gives you strength when the road to thinsville gets very dire and excrutiating.

    • imogene says:

      exactly what i think :)
casue like, any tiny thing helps

when i walk down the street, and i see sushi, my weakness,
      i just think to myself;
“beautiful people” just those words, thats all.
and it makes me think of angelina jolie, alexa chung, my very best friend who is the best dieter in the world, or lindsay in her old days, etc etc.

      just try it…
      “beautiful people”
it sounds lame or whatever, but it might work for you too. :)
      good luck everyone keep going

its pretty late right now, but I’m going to check them out on iTunes tmrw, am a big fan of King Adora, so I find this kind of music very, very inspiring. I love it, I love the deathly sound of the songs, very dramatic and ghostly in a way. I like the idea of a thinspo band, cos in reality, its not really about ED’s, its more about the psychological effect our idea of beauty has on our physical beings, the stronghold that can lead us to do things that we would otherwise find almost impossible.

That desperate desire for thin that gives us such strength to go far and beyond what we could have or want to imagine. If you have experienced the good and bad side of wanting to be thin” you ‘ll understand the message behind the lyrics. I think it is a brave move to unashamedly put the band forward that way, esp at this weight obsessed time. They may not succeed at going mainstream, but they will definately have their firm followers, and I will be at the fore-front of the parade.

  14. naomie says:

Oh no! Their music isn’t on iTunes UK, tha sucks! Its not on amazon.co.uk either. Skinny Gurl, any ideas on how I can get my hands on their music? I live in London and would love to get the album, or find out about shows, if they’ll be performing here etc Thanks!

  15. The graphics aren’t bad, but the text made my eyes bleed. You never used a capital letter “I” instead of your “i”. Very unprofessional.

The punctuation is atrocious. No capital letters at the beginning of your sentences. Some make no sense whatsoever and were worded awkwardly.

If you want anyone to take your videos seriously, then please learn how to write. Or better, leave the text out altogether.

Sorry to be so blunt, but I am actually embarrassed for you.

  16. imogene says:

it wont load, but i like the idea. :)
who cares if its good music or whatever;; its just there to keep you going when things are a bit harder.
    plus,
    disorders arent bad.
SERIOUS disorders, like cant-let-go, more than obsessive, dying in hospital disorders are NOT OK.
    skinny-skinny is good.
    fat is not
    definaattlleeyyy not.

but thanks for mposting htis kind of stuff
can listen to it while at the gym or something

you should get old pics of lindsay being skinny
and angelina jolie in those modelling pics form her teen years, she was SO NICE AND SKINNY THERE :D

    also alexa chung is good
and i love the skinny of the week
    THANKS HEEEAAPPSS SKINNY GURL
this website makes everything ok for me
gets me through personal horrible stuff thats happened in the past.
    :) xo

  17. naomie says:

thanks imogen, I’ll try those. And we so have the same thinspos as well, angelina jolie (screensaver), alexa chung, lindsay from her skinny days…luvveee!
