At the age of 13, Sigrid entered the Elite Model Look in France and was one of three to make it to the semifinals of the competition in Paris. She lost the competition to one of the other girls; however, shortly thereafter, she still managed to sign a minor contract with Elite Model Management in Paris. Sigrid (a bit curvier back then) got some small jobs, but ultimately decided to postpone pursuing a modeling career until she finished school. In 2008, a thinner Sigrid returned to modeling [for S/S 09] – signing with New York Model Management and Elite Models – and continued to slim down even more.
Sigrid has only been modeling seriously for about two years, and has had major success in that short period of time. She even managed to skyrocket to this big success despite not walking any shows for the S/S 2010 fashion weeks in New York, London, Paris and Milan! I have my own theories about why she skipped S/S ’10, but let’s leave that for the comments. 
Her hard work and and weight loss has really paid off, because she’s now her agency’s best-paid girl. In just the past nine months, she’s landed contracts with Dior, Celine, Calvin Klein, Ferretti, and many more.
At the last Fashion Week, Sigrid was one of the most-booked girls:
- F/W 10-11 total shows booked: 70
- F/W 10-11 Milan/Paris shows booked: 43
- F/W 10-11 shows opened: 6 | shows closed: 7

Skinny girl with cankles..that’s strange, I’ve never seen that before. None the less, she is perfect with a great body.
i’m not sure how i feel about her… she looks fragile but not in an attractive sort of way, and very tired. obviously has an amazing, skinny body but i just can’t get excited about her.
i dont know – i like skinny girls, but sigrid looks like death. i hope shes ok…

how exactly do you know their exact weights? do you just guess based on how they look? Her body is nice but I think she would look better if she gained 10 pounds, her face wouldn’t look so gaunt.

Why are her hands so purple..?
Purple indeed! Scary
oh my goodness, I didn’t even notice that! The most common explanation for discolored extremeties is poor circulation as a result of low blood pressure, but it could also be malnutrition. Although it could be something as harmless as Raynaud’s syndrome… it someone as tiny as Sigrid, it’s certainly worrying, though. I hope she’s taking care of herself!

I am exactly the same height as her! Much bigger though (125lbs, ick!). But she is the perfect thinspo for me – I know that that is how my body will look when I am that weight. Thanks SkinnyGurl!! <3

125 pounds isn’t ‘ick’ for 5’9″. That’s on the skinnier side actually.

@ Kelly: I second that! I´m a big fan of Inna (even though in some photos she looks positively skeletal, but generally she´s really sweet and fragile)
I found her too thin for her structure. I mean… look at her feet: they seems weirdly wide in comparison to her legs. It’s sad, but maybe, just maybe, not everyone is born to be skinny.
I think Sigrid’s gorgeous, and looks a lot better at her slimmer weight… and, not that money/success is everything, but let’s be honest: her “change” has clearly been VERY lucrative for her and her agencies. It’ll be interesting to see how she looks at FW.
As for her purple hands, hmm.. could be a lot of things… but I do like hands that match my handle, soooooo… I’ll elect to look on the bright side.
When I check, she has BMI around 14.9. Actually what is the ideal BMI of being skinny?

Gemma Ward? She quit modeling lonnngg time ago! She wasn’t naturally skinny. Look it up she is huge now!

Honestly, you don’t have to look that skinny to be beautiful. You probably look really skinny already. It’s impossible to look fat when you’re 97 pounds and the normal height of a human being. Some of those pics make her look on the anorexic side anyway.
