Posting Pictures

so i have a problem or maybe i am just dumb . everytime i try to post pictures they don't appear in my threads. i use the "insert image" tool where i will be requested to pst the url and then... nothing happens. what do i do wrong?

i'm not sure, but i think you need the 'image location'...when i do a right click with my mouse on the picture, it says 'copy image location' (or did you mean that with url?)....and then copy this adress in the 'insert picture'-tool.

try this: [img]URL[/img]

1. you want to right-click on the image and choose "copy image address"
2. on your post, click the 'inset image' icon (the one with the picture of the mountain and sun)
3. paste the image address (url) into the 'insert image' box and push 'OK'
4. it will show up as having [IMG]url[/IMG]

One mistake i made at the beginning was that i inserted the Url just as it was (copy + paste) into that InsertImage window, but would then have 'http' 2 times, so it wouldn't work...

Until we make a few improvements, that's the best way to do it. But please make sure to get the correct url. Some image hosting sites (like PostImage) require a certain 'forum' link to be used or else it will show up broken for others. Usually on sites like that they have a "show codes" on the image page which will help. The "attachment" method is crickety at best.
