So basically I binged yesterday, and regrettably, one of the foods was bread. I thought I'd drunk loads of water, and never normally have a problem getting things back up. Yesterday, I tried to make myself sick about five times afterwards, fingers as far down as they'd go... but nothing. In the end, I gave up, it wasn't happening. Anyway, today I stepped on the scales, and I'm 51.9kg. I was 49.0kg on Sunday morning. (I'm 5"4/164cm so still a long way to go) All that hard work for nothing? I've been drinking loads of herbal tea with Benefiber in it, to try and flush all the rubbish I ate out of my system. My stomach looks horrid and bloated. Any tips/advice about what to do would be wonderful. Needless to say I'm not planning on eating anything today. I feel so fat.

Honey, never ever try to vomit! It's so easy to get into bulimia - and bulimia makes you FAT! Trust me.
And you should eat today, but just little. As you should do the next days. Try to stick under 500, 400 calories or something. But if you don't eat now, you'll maybe binge later.

Thanks Andie. I will stick to 200kcal for today then. My stomach looks enormous and feels disgusting. So bloated and full. I just want the empty feeling back :( Do you think it is worth taking much Benefiber with herbal tea/water? One serving is 3g of fibre and only 8kcal. I know it's silly to take laxatives as the weight loss isn't real, it's mainly fluids. But I want to get rid of all the horrible food inside me. How can a one day binge equal 3kg?!!

...binging, trying to vomit, then eating nothing at all....already sounds like an ED to me. I'm sorry but is this your usual behaviour? I'd like to give you advice and i really don't want to judge you, but if you suffer from an ED, you need to get help. I'm scared to say something wrong. If this happend only once, I would advice you to take some time and analyse your eating behaviour: What happend before the binge? Where you angry, sad, bored...? How often do you binge? What to you eat on a normal day? How often do you feel like you ate to much? ...

Don't worry; this isn't my normal behabiour. I was bored yesterday and had a bit of a hang over, so I ended up binging. I would never normally binge. I eat about 500kcal on a normal day or more if I am exercising. Am just feeling annoyed with myself for binging, then stepping on the scales and seeing the result the next day.

That will go away very soon! Well, just if you don't binge today, of course. I won't take laxatives! Just eat little, but eat and it will be all right. Sometimes a day of binging can do wonder to help you lose weight. I'm not sure if it's the same with three days though.

3kg because there is food in your body, but that will go away. And maybe half of it or more is just water. Don't worry to much, just stick to your normal diet now.

That's good, I was just a little bit shocked when I read your post, to be honest. I know it is hard to see the result of a binge on the scale but don't beat yourself up too much. Just add more exercise, cut out most of the carbs (no bread) and stay away from alcohol for the next week or don't drink so much that you get hung over...

Thanks for the advice. I definitely won't be drinking for a while - it was a best friend's birthday hence the hangover. I'm feeling more positive now :)

I hope so! Thank you for the advice :)
