No one has made a thread for her and she's one of my favorite models, so I figured I'd make one for her.

She is my ultimate thinspiration! I'm an Australian girl, like Abbey, so she is a model I felt I really grew up with as a teen. She was discovered in a magazine model search competition and had a pretty regular body (I'll try and find some pics).

It was amazing watching her transformation when she got big internationally, she was always a slim girl but got SUPER SKINNY very quickly. It's always inspiring to know that models have to work at being skinnies as well :P

I love that fourth pic of Abbey! I think she's probably my favorite model ever. I don't know what it is about her, but there's something about her, haha. I've always been really into the brown hair, blue eyes look, and Abbey pulls it off perfectly.

I absolutely adore Abbey for this reason.. She's always been one of my faves because she just went and lost the weight and look's absolutely incredible. I can only find a few pictures.. but this should give you an idea..

Amazing! I always loved Abbey but I didn't know she had to go through some weight-loss. She looks gorgeous... now! those before pics look awful, the extra weight really showed on her face.

:shock: She really slimmed down. She looks so much better without the extra weight, and her cheekbones are a lot more prominent. I kinda wish she would go back to the brown hair though, because she looks sick sometimes with the blonde hair and bleached eyebrows.

I used to LOVE this girl, but when she bleached her hair and got even skinnier than in some of the pics posted here, I got so turned off. She looks like she's about to die any minute now. The long brown hair and a tiny bit more weight looked much better on her and still stunnning and skinny. But the before before pictures... :shock: I could never believe she was ever like that?! Amazing... Got to agree that I love the honesty too. I hate when models and celebs try to pretend they don't hardcore exercise and restrict and that they eat burgers all the time, when it's plainly obvious, though I guess young girls reading what Abbey Lee said could probably do some damage to themselves taking on those ideas so I can kiiinda see why they do it :hmm:

I actually really like this quite; it makes me feel better that some models really DO have to fight to keep their weight so low. Sometimes I feel like they're just blessed and I'm cursed (especially because I'm short).

Yeah she´s about 5'11" and I would also suggest less than 120lbs, definately. Its so suprising her weight was really kind of average before. I was sure she´s one of the girls who are born skinny, but oh, her arms are so much stronger in that picture above :D Her bodyshape is great anyway, no matter if she has 20lbs more or less and I would suggest she does not need to starve cause she is a tall girl with great bone structure, but she´s so much more modellike now :D She must have started to be relatively strict about what she eats and I also can imagine she lost babyfat during the years and thats why her cheekbones are more prominent as well these days, which makes her face even more fascinating though not as cute anymore as in the early days. But she´s a grown woman now, it suits her very well.

I agree, I think its the hair. When she had the longer brown hair and a tan it made her look really Australian-beach-surfy, it suited her.

I also heard somewhere that she had to have her wisdom teeth taken out, which led to her cheekbones becoming more pronounced. However I cannot remember when or where I heard this, so it may not be true or accurate.

I still love her though, she is a babe.

I agree with RedGlitter. I think Abbey Lee likes the edgy, rocker, "wasted" look. It's her new thing and somewhat sets her apart, just like her association with that band does. The combination of her pale skin and white-out hair in addition to her thinness makes her seem more sickly or wasted in a "rocker" way I guess. I like her best when she is in that photo with the black cowboy hat on. She looks very thin but healthier there... which, perhaps, is just because of the coloring.

I love Abbey Lee :luv: so I also hope she is truly not sick.

Has Abbey Lee ever spoken publicly about whether or not she's had an eating disorder? A friend of mine went to school with her and said that she really struggled going to school in her final year/s because she was struggling with bulimia. I'd take that anecdote with a grain of salt though.

The Australian beauty also enjoys yoga and dancing as part of her workout.

“I mix up my exercise routine with yoga, dancing and running. I used to run outside in NYC, but I have bad knees and it’s too hard running on concrete, so I’ve resorted to treadmills. The most important thing is a good sports bra, otherwise it hurts!” she told InStyle magazine.

Abbey has altered her exercise programme to work around the changes in her body.

The 24-year-old explained that as she is getting older, it is important to focus on strength training as well as cardio.

“The older I get, the more I need to introduce muscle toning into my workout. I like to use the cross trainer, which keeps you fit and helps tone. I never work outwithout music – usually AC/DC!” she said.

Abbey reminds me of Lisbeth in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Not so much because she looks like either of those actresses (though sometimes I see a slight resemblance to Rooney Mara), but just something about her look. I guess she's how I imagined Lisbeth to look in my head. Also, her punky goth style of dress probably adds to the effect. ;)
I agree with what people are saying about her looking better and healthier with her honey brown hair and bangs (it was a stunning look for her), but at the same time, I really appreciate the duality of her new look. The combination of such a delicate body & innocent face with her eccelectic clothing and tough attitude is really captivating in its own way. Plus, I feel like she's being true to herself, rather than prettying herself up to have the look that people would expect from such a sweet face. She's got an edginess that feels genuine to me. :luv:

I love Abbey, but I think this editorial is super flat. I really love the styling, especially the Miu Miu boots in #4, but they're selling themselves, and she's doing nothing for me. It drives me crazy when there's editorials like this where the model does the same thing with their head tilted on slightly different angles to try and make it look different.

God, those Portmans pictures are awful. I'm losing interest in Abbey Lee quickly these days, and not just because she hasn't been doing as much because I still adore Freja despite the fact that she has been quite absent lately.

That was my thought exactly. I really hated her blond, but the more recent pics of her are great. (even if boring to some, I had never seen them so she looks great to me)
I used to be a fan of the brown haired Abbey, but now I can see her having embraced some sort of supermodel- super being status with her Nadia Auermann hair
If her face is too drawn out she looks a little "dirty", sorry not sure how else to put it
