Stand with one foot in front of the other a la Victoria Beckham. Make sure your arms aren't squished down by your sides or they'll look fatter. Try to pop your collar bones bycurling your shoulders slightly. As for your face (learned this from modelling agency!!) tilt your face slightly sideways so you get a three-quarter profile, tilt your chin down a little and then look up with your eyes. I'll look for a pic as an example....

Apparently if you press your tongue to the roof of your mouth when you're having your photo taken it gives the illusion of a more pronounced jaw-line... Can't remember what show I was watching to gather that little nugget of information but you need to be careful not to over-do it; you'll end up looking demented!

try to keep your hands/arms doing stuff at all times. not like 'jazz hands' or anything... but just not constantly straight by your side. looks very rigid and boring.
also play around with your head/face, tilting at different angles. you can find your 'best side' completely face-on is very rarely flattering unless you have good facial symmetry.
'smile with your eyes' so you dont look dead inside/like you want to be anywhere but here.
POSTURE POSTURE POSTURE. you can look so much heavier if youre not standing/sitting correctly.
pull your head forward but down, and touch your tongue to the top of your mouth, minimises a double chin.
if the photo is taken from above, you will look shorter, but your face will look thinner and your eyes generally bigger.
if its taken from below, your legs will look super long but you may look a little puffy-faced and double chinned unless youre stick thin.
christ there are loads more but thats all i can think of for now....

also, to look 'hot', squint VERY SLIGHTLY as if you are looking at a bright light. can make you look more 'cat-eyed.
practice it in the mirror first though. some girls cant pull it off...

Amazing! I am really motivated now to keep those tips in mind and to do it next time and to improve my attitude towards posing. i think practising it infront of the mirrow will be very helpful...so i will not look like trying too hard ....sometimes (exspecially gross, ugly) grils annoy me when they act like a supermodel but actually look like sh**:nopity:. Thatīs ridicilous.LOL. The mirrow will give me routine using those tricks. :) Most of them are really new to me , i never really read good explained tips for the face. The "slimming arms-tip" is quite common but i usually forget about it or feel kinda shy to actually"look" like POSING. you know? but i rather look like a willing professional than having a bad picture spreading around facebook. ...but Who cares about that, anyway ... if the photo is hot:highfive:
