Dakota Fanning was featured in an editorial for Vogue Italia back in February, and I just discovered it. I have a tendency to be a little harsh about Dakota’s appearance from time to time; however, in this editorial I think she looks amazing!
If I didn’t know better she could almost pass for a lovely fashion model that was just discovered. The editorial was photographed by Tom Munro, who did an amazing job shooting Dakota in black and white – a style I’m very fond of. I really love the big and dark eyebrows on Dakota, they make her look like a completely different person. I love the outfits too!
I think this is the best I have seen Dakota look!

these are beautiful and haunting! i’ve a couple of these before, but not the entire set. the angles and moods are so ghostly! especially 2 and 6. When she was doing films like ‘dreamer’ and ‘charlotte’s web’ i thought she just another over-hyped child starlet that would be falling off the face of the planet after puberty. anybody remember when she was the famous baby? she’s sure grown up with class and grace! let’s hope she breaks the child-star curse and keeps it that way.

Does anyone know how tall she is?
5’4″ I believe
5’3 1/2 at last mesurment, but don’t know how long ago that was. i read she has very tall parents, so it’s probably more than that by now. she certainly looks at least 5’5.
But just because her parents are tall doesnt neccessarily mean she will be tall. I think it’s hard to tell how tall she is since she always wears 5 inch + heels or wedges.
She looks like Kate Winslet in these photos, especially in 3. Looks skinnier too.
I’m sorry her eyebrows are hideous… if these were taken in color they would be so over whelming, although her clothes and body form is AMAZING photo 6 is def my fav minus the eyebrows…

They were drawn on that way for the photoshoot.
I hate Dakota Fanning almost as much as you hate Emma Watson, skinnygurl. But I do have to admit, this is a fabulous shoot.
@ thinspired – LOL, I love your comment! It’s true that Emma Watson is at the top of my “do not like” list, but Dakota is a very close second!
For a teenager she’s amazingly slim, but for a Vogue Italy model she’s just ugly.
This is a very artistic photo shoot, I love it! especially the reflection in the sunglasses, that’s awesome.
@ Anya – I noticed the reflection in the sunglasses too and I love it. I want my boyfriend to photograph a pic of me like that.
I loved these pics, especially number four (the reflection in the sunnies was amazing!) and number five.
Dakota looks so different now! Good on her for growing up to be a classy lady – let’s hope she stays on track and also stays skinny! X
