Dakota Fanning leaving Johnny Rockets after having lunch with her mom
On Tuesday Dakota Fanning was pictured leaving Johnny Rockets in Beverly Hills after having lunch with her mom. In my last post I stated that she was a healthy “normal” weight girl and that I thought she had potential to become a skinny little tart if she learned to be a “good girl”. She is now fifteen in these pictures, compared to fourteen when I first posted on her, and you can tell that she hasn’t been good. Her thighs seem quite large compared to a skinny girl at her age but the rest is hard to tell. Her shirt is baggy, hiding her arms and mid-section but you can see that she has developed in the chest area – likely a result of the weight gain that often comes in late puberty.
Last time I did a post on Dakota Fanning I got some comments like “how dare you bring a girl this age into the weight world” and “how absurd” so I’m sure this post will have a few other haters. Personally, I wish someone would have told me at age 15 how critical it was to watch what I ate and how easily those calories would start to find a home on my thighs and mid-section.
I was expecting to see Dakota all dolled up promoting New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, which is supposed to be released this month. But, I haven’t seen pictures of her at any promotional events. She plays Jane, a guard of the Volturi who has the ability to torture people with illusions of pain. I’m interested to see how she does in the movie, especially since she wasn’t in the first one.
In any case, I think Dakota is a pretty girl with a lot of skinny potential if she puts her mind to it. If she were taller I could see her doing some fashion modeling. I assume she’ll just continue her acting career, do some editorials and endorse a few popular brands.

i can see how she has potential, and i too wish people told me earlier to watch my weight, coz it is a hell lot easier to prevent it than it is to lose it.
The girl does have potential. But (other than watching her intake) she needs to fix her teeth.
Oh no no no. Let this girl grow and be healthy. She can deal with the Hollywood craze after she has actually finished puberty.
I’d say she’s a good girl since she’s getting work; perhaps the author is not?
She’s a size 00.
This is ridiculous.
Let her decide how she wants to be… other wise shel end up anorexic…. her thighs are not fat there SKINNY
I think you are disgusting for posting this article – she is only 15 years old ffs!
im 15, and i like the criticism :] helps me skip the pasta.
Because that won’t completely damage a young, easily-led, and vulnerable girl’s self esteem!
/sarcasm
I like her shirt. It kinda crazy but cute.
Lose some weight girl; Skinner you are the better you are..
I think the first picture of her is not a good one.
Dakota is average-slim, it’s good.
People saying that this post will make her anorexic, grow up.
Skinnygurl, I like the way you include people of all different ages. It gives people broader variety =)
Almost every overweight girl started becoming fat at age 12, 13 or 14, and so did I. This is the time where metabolism and hormones totally mess with a girl´s body.
Telling a girl she needs to eat less and healthier now is a MUST at this age. Many people avoid this, because they think it´s making a girl anorexic to talk about calories and diet, but instead, it´s making her a beautiful, skinny and healthy teenager.
I wish somebody told me to lose weight when I was 12 – I had to learn it the hard way when I was 14 and weighed 180 pounds. Thanks, dear friends and parents, for “letting my body develop”, or whatever you might have thought…
Biologically, a girl turns into a woman when she enters her teenage years, and that´s the point people need to tell her that she has to watch her body.
Well said Fili! I totally agree with that. I used to be 5’2″ and 85 pounds when I was 13. But other people kept telling me to eat so that I’d grow taller/ develop… And now I’m still the same height but I’m 120. I wish I had my 13 year old body back!
That’s really inspiring to know that you were 180 when you were 14… I’m assuming your weight is much lower now. Would you mind sharing what weight you’re at now? I could really use some thinspo/ real life stories…
Thanks!
Thanks r10!
You can get your pre-teen body back, if you´re working hard. I wish you the best!
I´m down to 108, at height 5`8. It took me 2 years to lose the weight, now I´m constantly at 106 – 108 since 3 years.
I´m sick of people telling teens to eat to “develop” – your body develops and grows anyway, no matter what size you are. Your height, for instance, is basically a matter of your genetic material, not of what you eat. People should be more realistic about that.
Keep working on that, r10! Even though I think 85 is really low for your height, I hope you succeed.
I don’t think anything said (especially here) would make anyone anorexic, it’s much more complex than that. Well said Fili. Good luck to everyone in reaching their goals. Oh, and I agree with Skinny Gurl too (as always).
