Charlotte Gainsbourg In A Bathing Suit

One of our readers requested that I do a post on Charlotte Gainsbourg – here it is : )
About two weeks ago, Charlotte Gainsbourg was photographed wearing a bathing suit while swimming at the Eden Roc Hotel in France.
Honestly, I had no idea who Charlotte was so I did a little research. She is an actress and a singer-songwriter, doing the majority of her acting work in Paris and Europe. Her music seems to be very popular abroad, however it is gaining traction in the states as well. Charlotte is 38 years old and has two children.
I think Charlotte looks great for her age. She is definitely skinny, but not super-skinny like the majority of models on this site. Seeing her in a bathing suit definitely opens up the discussion for a good bit of criticism, especially since she does have some problem areas. I try to go easier on older actresses/models/celebrities because it is really a challenge to maintain an amazing skinny body after a certain age.
If I had to pick a few areas for Charlotte to improve, it would be her belly and to tone her thighs. I think she looks lovely and skinny in the pictures where she is wearing a dress, much better than the bathing suit pictures. I also seeing a little bit of her xylophone peeking… what a nice added bonus : )
What do you think of Charlotte?
I don’t think bathing costumes are her forté, but she does have a great body when clothed. A bit boyish, a bit jolie laide, both of which are great in my book. Great she’s kept up her xylophone at that age too!
I don’t like her in the red bathers, but otherwise I think she looks fantastic for her age (and kids!)
I agree, shecould work on her belly and toning up her thighs, but I loovee the xylophone – it’s great!
And I think she’s really pretty in the last few pictures as well =)

you can see her whole anatomy in the fugly red bathing suit, might as well have been naked, lol. I’ve never heard of her either.. I was surprised that she’s 38 and has 2 kids, looks pretty good considering. however, I think if she’s not careful she’ll have cankles.. her lower legs are a little big in proportion to her body.
She actually does look pretty good for a 38 year old!
Ok sorry but I don’t get it… How does she manage to look big yet still be showing bones? Confused.
Charlotte is amazing! if you want to see old school skinny check out her mother (Jane Birkin – you know the one the Birkin bag was named after) especially in the movie “je t aime, moi non plus”
She’s gorgeous in the dress.
But when I first saw the post I thought “ew”..

I saw her in a few movies and I thought she looks thin. This bathing suit is pretty unflattering.

She is the daughter of my style icon Jane birkin, she is the inspiration for the hermes Birkin bag. Her mom had the greatest body in the seventies. The skinniest body ever. Like mother like daughter.
Skinny doesn’t mean you have a great body. It just means you’re skinny. Women are supposed to have boobs hips and ass.

She’s an icon, style and art. Her father was Serge Gainsbourg and as someone in here has mentioned her mother Jane Birkin. Her half sister (also daughter of Birkin) is model Lou Doillon 
It looks like a man to me. Really, I have tried – but when she’s wearing make-up she looks like a pre-op tranny that isn’t putting enough effort in.
It could be a light shadow on her thighs, or just the trick of the light. She is lucky to wear bikinie without looking like a COW! she looks good anyway.
I think she needs breast implants. She’s built like a boy. If this is what’s passing as feminine beauty these days how sad. I think you can be thin and curvy and I should know because I am both. I’m 5’3″ 115 lbs 35 23 34. I don’t know any man who wants to lie down with a bag of bones. If he is you can’t bet he’s getting his curvy fix with porn.
